 Hello & Happy Tuesday to you all!

Well, I have just got back Sunday night from a lovely Bee Arty Retreat! And it was definitely what I needed to refresh & reboot! Although now, I am in recovery mode - Retreat Hangover! LOL!

Thanks so much to Paige for EVERYTHING! I would be beside myself, with last minute changes to the venue & sorting everything out! But it did in the end, and it was AMAZING!

Anyway, so while I was there I managed to scrap a "few" layouts - too much chatting does limit the amount to create!

I wanted to share with you one of the two layouts I created based on the May Moodboard/Sketch Challenge at Bee Arty... 

I went with the colours and added a few flowers based on the image of the flowers too....

I started off by gathering all the Bee Arty colours - Candy, Sunflower, Apple of My Eye & Blush - either in Mica Powder or Shimmer Dust - splattering these colours to Bee Arty Thick White Cardstock that I had added White Heavy Gesso too.

I have then collected some bits and pieces that I have accumulated on my scrappy table to create clusters around my photo. The photo I have matted using one of the lovely NEW Bee the Sunshine papers, I have also backed the White Cardstock with Bee the Sunshine Paper too.

I've coloured the #bestday chipboard with Wine Shimmer Dust & also the Diamond Metal Die.

I've stamped the cute Man & Woman stamp from the Scrabble - Clear Stamp Set randomly on the page using the Apple of my Eye Mica Powder & Water.

Here is the end result...

PS... here's a sneak of the other layout I created based on the sketch.... using the NEW Snow White Shimmer Spray - it's so gorgeous!

Count My Blessings by Charmane Koch

 Hello! Today I am very excited to share with you my first project using the brand NEW "Bee The Sunshine" Collection!

There is soooo much too LOVE about this Collection created by Fiona Paltridge!

The stamps, the dies, the stencils, the papers - the colours! So gorgeous to work with!

I've also used Sunshine Mica Powder mixed with Gel Medium for the NEW Honeycomb Spray stencil, Blush Mica Powder to colour the Muslin and wash over part of the background.

I've used Midnight Shimmer Dust for my background too - the range of colour is amazing!

I also used the Rosewood Colour Paste through the NEW Abstract Daisy Stencil!

I coloured the Hexagon Wood Veneers with Sunshine Mica Powder then stamped over the top using the "Find your Way" stamp {definitely my fave from the collection!}

Can't wait to see what you all come up with! This Collection is absolutely stunning!

Life is Better with ART in it by Charmane Koch

 Love my title? Life is definitely better with ART in it! Especially these days! It definitely has helped me through tough times! Nothing better than some "Art Therapy"!

Looking at ART makes me happy too! I am loving the Street Art around Adelaide that I have been seeing as we explore our own city!

Today I am sharing with you a layout that I have been slowly creating over the last few weeks...

I wanted to create a similar feel to the actual photo of Street Art that I happened to find while walking past a backstreet in Adelaide!

I started off by colouring White Gesso with Rainforest Colour Spray, I have then used the Drifting Leaves stencil around the 4 corners of the White Cardstock. With the left over Gesso I have smeared with a palette knife lightly over the rest of the page. I have then dried using a Heat Gun.

Next I have then used a palette knife to stencil the Rose Reveal Stencil with White Gesso...

I've waited for that to dry naturally {or I was too busy and couldn't continue!}

Meanwhile I have torn some cardboard from a box and painted with Gesso to use as a backing to my photo.

After that I have decided to use the Brickwork from the Pavement Stencil in the middle of my page to create the similar brickwork on the wall. I've used White Gesso again & dried with a Heat Gun.

Once everything has dried I have slowly coloured the Rose Reveal Stencil using Apple of My Eye & Blush Mica powders with a splash of water. I have also used Leather Mica Powder to colour the brickwork. This has been done in layers until I was satisfied with the colours.

I also stamped using the script on the Bokeh stamp lightly over the top in places on my layout to create a "graffiti" effect like on the door of the photo.

I have doodled around the edges of the stencilled background, so that the images are highlighted a bit more.

I have layered the photo using the cardboard, I coloured part with the left over Apple of my Eye Mica powder.

I have then added a swirl of kitchen string and flowers to add extra interest. And of course a Charms Creations Heart to match.

 Happy Monday Everyone!

Today I wanted to share with you one of the layouts I created based on a Challenge that we had at the AMAZING Bee Arty Retreat!

Here's a closeup...

We had to use the Love & Grace Elmore paper - which is gorgeous just by itself...

Sorry I don't have any step-by-steps as I didn't take any on retreat! {silly me!}

I however started off by stencilling the gorgeous Rose Reveal stencil from the Love & Grace Range using some modelling paste to the top left & bottom right of the gorgeous designs on the page... I have then quickly dried with a heat gun.

Using Apple of my Eye & Blush Mica Powder I have added water to colour the Rose Reveal stencil, & the White Doily that I have tucked behind the photo.

Before sticking everything down, I also lightly stamped the Memories Stamp which was another requirement for the challenge!

I cut out a few dies using the 350gsm White Cardstock - Runway, String Leaves & String Wreath and then embossed them using Key Lime & Baby Pink from the Mermaid Embossing bundle! Such beautiful colours!

To finish off my layout I have trimmed the edges and distressed and backed with the fabulous nice and thick 350gsm White Cardstock.

I really love how this page turned out using so many of the AWESOME products at Bee Arty!

Sweet Blessings by Charmane Koch

 Happy Monday Everyone!

Today I wanted to share a layout I created based on the Grateful Heart "Love" paper & Grateful Heart Party Lights stencil. I love that I could make the paper by own by colouring it to match my photo using Mica Powders as a watercolour.

This is what the paper looked like before I "coloured it in"...

I also added extra leaves by using the Party Lights stencil  & modelling paste. I then coloured with Apple of My Eye Mica Powder and outlined with black pen.

I added a bit of colour to a Paper Doily and Charms Creations Music Heart to tie the whole page together.

I love how this page came together so easily - and all I really had to do is add a little extra colour! I love how the Grateful Heart papers allow you to add your own colour to match.

Here is the finished page - so soft and pretty!

Small Things Grow with Great Love by Tracey Campbell

 Hello it is Tracey Campbell here with a Design Team share. Today I am once again sharing a layout that I have created using a mix of the wonderful Colour Blast by Bee Arty products and  the Fearless, Brave and Free Collection. The media I wanted to focus on for this layout is the delicious and versatile Colour Shimmer Sprays, I will show you a few simple ways to use them to create this layout of my eldest daughter Bronte all dressed up as a little fairy.

 Small Things Grow with Great Love

 

 First up I used grabbed the Confidence, Strength and Positive papers from the Fearless, Brave and Free Collection. I cut a 15 cm strip from the Positive - black and white side and put it away for a bit later on. From the Confidence and Strength papers I used Flower Power metal die and cut two sets of flowers from each paper. I also cut another set of flowers from a piece of scrap patterned paper that had the same tones of colours as the Confidence and Strength papers.

 

 Next I used a clear drying glue and built up the flowers by adhering the outlines of the flowers to the flower petals. Make sure that you mix and match the papers.

 

On a 12x12 sheet of white card stock slowly spray some squirts of the Blush Colour Shimmer Spray. I have found that if you press the spray bottle down slowly it sprays bigger drops of spray and this was the effect I was after.

 

 The photo below show the larger droplets of spray and the positioning of where I sprayed the Blush Colour Shimmer Spray.

 

 Once the Blush Colour Shimmer Spray was dry I sprayed Stormy Weather Colour Shimmer Spray through the Dusk Stencil. I used the packaging from the Dusk Stencil as a shiled over my 12x12 cardstock so that I would only get the Colour Shimmer Spray where I wanted it.

 

 Once dry I took the top off the Singin' the Blues Colour Shimmer Spray and used the straw to flick droplets over the Stormy Weather and Blush Colour Shimmer Sprays.

 

 In the photo below you can see how the base cardstock looks with the Colour Shimmer Sprays used three different ways.

 

 Next up I used the DeVine metal dies to cut out a few vines from white cardstock.

 

 I then sprayed them with Stormy Weather Colour Shimmer Spray.

 

 Here they are drying, I just wanted to show you that I did not drench them in the spray just enough to give a grey/silver effect to them.

Putting the layout together. Take the Positive strip that you cut way back in step one and adhere slightly off center on to the 12x12 cardstock. Make sure that you put the black and white (B-side) facing up. Using the Confidence and Strength papers from the Fearless, Brave and Free Collection, double mat a 6x4 portrait photo and stick onto the top of the Positive strip (see the final layout for the correct positioning). Next using 3 Dimensional tape adhere the die cut flowers so that they run diagonally across the base - run them over the Colour Shimmer Sprays and tuck them under the flowers.

The finishing touches. Once you are happy with how your flowers look tuck the DeVines amongst them. You can trim the DeVines down so that they fit. Cut out the word title "Small Things with Great Love" from the Free 12x12 Wordsheet in the Fearless, Brave and Free Collection. Snip it in half so that "Small Things" and "with Great Love" are two separate pieces. Use the 365 Alphas metal dies to cut out the word "Grow" from the Strength patterned paper and using a black felt tip pen outline the edges.

Lastly adhere some small paper flowers and pearl gems randomly over the layout.

A Beautiful Moment Captured by Michelle Henderson

Hi my (Bee) Arty friends!

I have an great new page for you today - I'm so in love with it!!

What do you think so far?

I started off with Colour Artist Inks in Sunburnt and Cranberry, both of which I thinned down with so much water as I only wanted a pale colour to match the colour of my cut file. I applied it on the diagonal using smooshing and drips initially, then a brush to draw it out a little. 

I grabbed my Colour Shimmer Powder in Navy and mixed it with water, and lightly brushed some towards the edges of where the cut file was going.

I had some left over, so I dragged a flower mask through the mix and stamped with it here and there. 

At this stage I felt it would be a little strong still, so I drybrushed some Heavy White Gesso very lightly over it with a fan brush. I loved how that worked!

The last part of my background was a thin coat of Blush Colour Paste through a stencil at 3 different points.

I added my cut file, photos and embellies then, all except the bow was Cocoa Vanilla Midnight collection.
