Sweet Vibes - Rikki G

Good evening how are you all? Rikki here on this fine Sunday to share with you my latest creation for Bee Arty and this is for this months current challenge either a moodboard or the sketch or like myself... why not combine the two?

Heres my take in the challenge, you still have plenty time to enter and win !!!

Want to see how it was created? Follow along with a process video.

To start off use a stencil like the Honeycomb Spray Stencil.... to build up the colour in the background I used Tim Holtz Oxide - Pickled Raspberry, Spiced Marmalade, Squeezed Lemonade, Kitsch Flamingo.

Stamp Find Your Way to the left hand side of the page with an archival ink.

Follow this up with stamping the right hand side with the Geo Grunge - the one with the Bee, set this aside for layer on.

Now its all about adding your pattern paper layers and to soften you can add some vellum as your last layer.

Add some fussy cut elements from Sunny Days 12x12 Paper.

Add photos and title.

Now with the Geo Grunge Stamp - stamp though out the background randomly, if you keep your stamp unmounting it will help with the random effect.

Now its time to get messy with Colour Artist Dye - Slipper, Citrus, and Spiced.

Flick over the background and dilute in places with water.

Dont forget to cover your photo.

To finish off use Shimmer Spray - Bling with a brush flick and let it run like honey.....

So why dont you join us in this challenge, just follow the link:

Happy, by Amanda Hartmann

Hello Bee Arty Fans,

Happy Saturday! Ready for some Shimmer Dust inspiration!?

Full step by step instructions are below so I hope you follow my steps to create some fun pages of your own!

I created this page during our recent Bee Arty retreat. I created the background with stenciling and Shimmer Dust. Then I layered die cuts, lace, thread, stickers, and a Charms Creations (also coloured with Shimmer Dust)

Products used:

* Heavy White Cardstock

* Black Cardstock

* White Gesso

* Colour Shimmer Dust - in NEW colour Jacaranda

* Colour Artist Inks in Soot.

* Bee Arty: Bee the Sunshine: Honeycomb Spray A5 Stencil

* Colour Blast: Compass Metal Die

* Bee Arty: Embrace Change: Autumn Trio Metal Die

* Embossing Powder: Indigo Sparkle (embossed chipboard title)

Last night, I decided to recreate the page (with a different colour) so you could see the steps I took.

Second project: "Photo Op"!

Bringing in the orange of the Amber Shimmer Dust in this one!

Products used:

Heavy White Cardstock

Kraft Cardstock

White Gesso

Colour Shimmer Dust - in Amber

Colour Artist Inks in Soot.

* Bee Arty: Bee the Sunshine: Honeycomb Spray A5 Stencil

* Bee Arty: Destimation Anywhere: Grungy Filmstrip Metal Die

WHY to try this technique?

Gessoing the paper first is the key to this technique. It means your have time to play with and move the colour around the page before it soaks in and sets. You can layer extra colour, or extra water to get lighter and darker elements. You can experiment with adding complimentary colours. Moving and drying the colours lets you see all the complex colours and shimmer in the shimmer dusts. You will have such fun exploring and experimenting!

Thanks for looking today!

Count My Blessings by Charmane Koch

 Hello! Today I am very excited to share with you my first project using the brand NEW "Bee The Sunshine" Collection!

Available to PRE-ORDER at your local store NOW!

{Live on the Bee Arty website on the 5th of May!}

There is soooo much too LOVE about this Collection created by Fiona Paltridge!

The stamps, the dies, the stencils, the papers - the colours! So gorgeous to work with!

I've also used Sunshine Mica Powder mixed with Gel Medium for the NEW Honeycomb Spray stencil, Blush Mica Powder to colour the Muslin and wash over part of the background.
I've used Midnight Shimmer Dust for my background too - the range of colour is amazing!

I also used the Rosewood Colour Paste through the NEW Abstract Daisy Stencil!

I coloured the Hexagon Wood Veneers with Sunshine Mica Powder then stamped over the top using the "Find your Way" stamp {definitely my fave from the collection!}

And here is my full page!

Can't wait to see what you all come up with! This Collection is absolutely stunning!

Thanks for popping by!
