Be Fearless by Tracey Campbell

Hello wonderful people, Tracey Campbell here today to share my latest Creative Team member layout with you. I have been playing with a few of the older collections lately and wanted to show you how I used the different collections to create this fun page.

My first step was to go through my paper stash to see what patterns and colours would work well with this photo of my youngest daughter with one of her favourite characters at Movie World. I ended up pulling paper and wordsheets from the following collections: Graffiti Grunge, Trendsetter, Fearless Brave and Free, Follow Your Dreams and Covid Capers

As I knew I wanted to add a bit of mixed media to the layout I used a brayer to apply a thin coat of Heavy White Gesso to the right-hand side of the Epic pattern paper from the Graffiti Grunge collection. Tip: Apply Gesso as a primer to your paper to help mixed media to adhere and not warp your paper.

When the Gesso is dry apply a small amount of Candy Colour Shimmer Dust and activate with a fine spray of water.

Allow the activated Shimmer Dust to pool and stand the paper upright so that the pooled colour runs down the page. Once you are happy with the dribbling effect lay the paper flat to dry or use a heat gun to speed up the drying process.

When dry use some clear embossing ink with Apple of My Eye and Sunshine Embossing Power to stamp the brick wall and chain wire images from the Life is Tough Stamp Set onto the paper. I placed the images randomly over the Gesso and Shimmer Dusted area. I have posted a photo of the positioning of the stamping below the next step.

Next I built up the texture by using some waterproof black ink I stamped the grid image from the Life is Tough stamp set horizontally and vertically across the Gesso and Shimmer Dusted area. See positioning below.

In the photo above you can see the build up of the mixed media and stamping.

I wanted to add some paper layering to my layout so I used small pieces of paper from the following collections: Graffiti Grunge, Trendsetter and Fearless Brave and Free. The biggest piece was a 6x4 rectangle and then just random stipes and pieces that I kept adding until I was happy with how it looked. I decided at the last minute to add some red into the layering to compliment Robin's uniform. I did this by adding small pieces of red cardstock behind the patterned paper layers, just enough to balance and not overwhelm the rest of the patterns. Adhere the photo and layers to the background, I positioned it over the top of the mixed media.

Using the Linked In and Direct Links metal dies cut one image from each in black cardstock, cut this image into 3 pieces. Then cut one image of the Direct Links in red cardstock. Trim the chain and the hanging arrows off from the large main arrow of the Direct Links cut image - you should now have 3 separate arrows and 3 chains in both red and black cardstock.

Tuck the 3 pieces of the Linked In image under the paper layering. Using the arrows and chains as embellishments adhere them to the page, see the final layout for positioning.

From the Covid Capers, Trendsetter, Fearless Brave & Free and Follow Your Dreams wordsheets choose phrases/words that suit your photo and cut them out. I have picked the following phrases for my layout: "Be Fearless", "Your vibe attracts your vibe", "Hero", "Suit Up", "Strong" and "Courage". That is one thing I love about the Bee Arty wordsheets there is so many choices that you and target the theme you are going for and pick and choose. Finish off by adhere the words/phrase to the layout.

Thanks for popping in, I hope that I have inspired you to pull out the older collections and see how you can mix and match them to create a unique and individual layout to suit your photos.

By for now,
Tracey

I stamped off a few times as I like to layer my cards

The colouring started... and the memory for taking photos stopped!

Made a base for a tag and layered a card using Trendsetter paper

FOREVER OM! by Linda Pearson

The delightful ‘Forever My Always’ collection by Fiona Paltridge is a wonderful compliment to this golden buddha focal point.  A cornacopia of FMA scrapbook papers, stencils, Colourblast pastes dies, and gold leaf embellishments along with my fav Buddha stencil make this a stunning layout or mixed media page for your journal.

Bee Arty products used in this project:

Texture Paste + sand or Fiber paste
Payne's grey heavy acrylic paint (blue/black)
Gold leaf and sizing adhesive
Gold foil card and an extra sheet of White Cardstock 350gsm coloured with Paynes grey acrylic paint (dry off) for die cutting shapes.
Palette knife (metal and silicone)
Paint palette

Fussy cut the flower sprays from the Always 30x30cm scrapbooking paper and the Forever 30x30cm scrapbooking paper.   Keep the Always offcut paper to be used as your under paper for the project.

Adhere the Always off cut paper to the White Cardstock 350gsm base.  Dry off.

Using the Bling Colour paste add a small amount of Sienna Colour paste to the Bling … mix up an apricot/mushroom pink to match the paper colour way.

Spread the paste randomly over the cut out area continuing over the design randomly.

Apply thin coat of gold leaf sizing adhesive over several areas of the  paper, allow to dry off to a tacky finish.   Place the gold leaf over the tacky areas brush away excess leaf.

Mix a good amount texture paste with some sand (this helps to add grainy texture .. good substitute if you don’t have Fiber paste).

Add Payne's grey acrylic paint to the mix.  Apply through the Buddha 1 – A4 mask and stencil carefully but thickly.

Try to leave some ridges in the paste to provide depth.  Allow to dry thoroughly.

Mix more of the Apricot/Mushroom coloured Colour paste (bling and Sienna). Apply the Humps A6 stencil over several areas of the page (white areas).

Apply thin coat of gold leaf sizing adhesive over one side of the Buddha, allow to dry off to a tacky finish.   Place and pat down the gold leaf over the tacky areas brush away excess leaf.

Cut several Diamond – metal die shapes from the gold foil card.

Cut lots of My Flower – metal die flowers from the gold foil card and from the painted cardstock.

Arrange the die-cut pieces around the paper focusing around the bottom of the Buddhas and edges of the page.  Adhere the cut pieces to the page.  Rub some gold paint around the shapes; Buddhas, leaves and other shapes.

I hope you are inspired to engage with this amazing floral collection but most importantly, enjoy the process.

Bye for now! … from Linda

Layered Card by Aditi

 Hello everyone,

Today I was inspired to use a few paper layers and create a quick card. I love the Scrapbooking collections by Bee Arty and they were perfect for this idea today. Sometimes we want to create something quick and simple and I think this card is perfect for such times.

Here's a look at the card

I started off by picking out a few papers and fussy cutting elements from them.

I next mounted my paper base onto white cardstock.

I now began arranging my abstract fussy cut pieces randomly. When I was happy I adhered them with some foam tape to add dimension.

I then glued my floral elements.

To complete it, I added a sentiment and sequence.

Supplies used:

Hope you've enjoyed this quick project share!
Hugs,
Aditi

Keep Going by Charmane Koch

Hey Everyone! Hoping your Monday is off to an AWESOME start! I'm guessing some of you will be getting those kids back to school? We still have a week to go, but I LOVE it when my kids are home! No school lunches to worry about, no drop offs & pick ups... just WORK! Ha, ha!

Anyway, today I wanted to share with you my most recent layout loosely based on the April Sketch this month...

I loved all the layering and mix of stamping... so decided to create my background using lots of Bee Arty Stamps & Stencils.

Here is what my base looked like after stamping and stencilling...

I have then added more colour to the page, using similar colours to the Fearless, Brave and Free Confidence paper that I used, Slipper & Oasis in the Artist Inks {with water} and also Polar Mica Powder...

Can you believe I managed to use all of these Stencils and Stamps!
Heres a list of them for you:

And this is the final outcome of my layout...

I finished off the page with doodling around the stencilled images & a bit of machine sewing around the edge of the layout & partially around the photos that I matted using Fearless Brave & Free Strength paper

It was so therapeutic creating the background loosely stamping & stencilling! How much fun it is to play with the fabulous Bee Arty Goodies!

I hope I've inspired you to get out a mix of stamps and stencils and create your own background!

Thanks for popping in!

Have a fantastic week!

XO Charm
