Shine Your Light Journal by Aditi Mahajan

 Hello everyone,

I'm back with a video tutorial for you'll. I'm sharing a mixed media style art journal page today. After the last post, a page in my square journal, I was looking forward to creating one more in the same book. I like the size and it being square.

Here's a look at the page

Check out the process video of creating this on the Bee Arty Creative Hive FB Group.

I love creating simple layers with micas, and stamps; keeping white spaces and adding an effective focal.

Adding foam tape, brings in depth and dimension, that adds variation in the textures and elements.

A small detail like adding sequins, uplifts the entire page.

Supplies used

1. Colour mica powder- emerald, olive grove, singin the blues

2. Fearless, Brave & Free Collection

3. Interwoven stencil

4. Stamps- Geo Grunge, making tracks

5. Black archival ink

6. Versafine Clair Nocturne

6. Bee Arty Dies

Hope you've enjoyed today's tutorial!

Hugs,

Aditi

Gypsy Heart Art Journal by Aditi Mahajan

 Hello,

Hope you're all doing well! Today I'm sharing an art journal page with you'll, in my square watercolour journal.

Since I love art journaling, I love experimenting with different shapes, sizes and paper textures of journals.

Before I jump into the step by step process, here's a look at my page.

Here's a step by step process of creating this page:

Step 1- Mist the page with water, where you'd like to add colour. I was working on the opposite ends of the page. Using a fan brush next, I sprinkled the Mica powders, one colour at a time. I let this to dry naturally.

I love the play of colours here.

Step 2-  I chose a few background stamps and randomly stamped them with black ink.

This gave me various textures to further build my composition.

Step 3- I picked out a few stencils and added a next layer of texture with the black ink again.

Step 4- I completed the page with a few die cut elements, phrases, white, purple and blue splatter.

Season of Gratitude- Mixed Media cards by Aditi Mahajan

 Hello everyone,

Hope you'll are having a great week so far! I'm back with some mixed media inspiration for you all.

Today I'm creating a set of mini cards with the theme of fall and thanksgiving in mind. Different parts of the world celebrate it at different times, but the weather here really urges me to play with this theme.

Here's a look at the cards

I have a process video for you'll for these cards. Hop on over to the Bee Arty Hive on Facebook to view it and create along.

I've used mica powders as watercolours and artist ink to smoosh colours on my base. I've used some background stamps, and texture paste with stencils. I've finished them with a few die cuts, thread and sentiment.

Grungy Tag by Aditi Mahajan

 Hello everyone,

Today I'm sharing with you all a mixed media style grungy tag. I've combined different collections and elements for this tag. As always, I love creating simple yet effective things, that aren't time consuming.

Here's a look at the tag

I started it of with a pattern paper for the base of my tag. I then used a background stamp and stamped with black ink, randomly.

I then mixed the mica and shimmer powders with transparent matte paste and applied it through a stencil. While that was wet, I sprinkled glitter onto it. Once dried, I splattered colours on the background, for a rusty grungy effect.

I coloured the die cuts the same way, fussy cut some elements and created a composition, gluing them. I finished it with a phrase to add meaning to my tag.

Magic Journal Page

 Hello everyone,

Today I'm sharing a quick journal page with you'll. I love art journaling, especially when I don't have time to create. I find that a journal page can be created without any fuss and with minimal elements. This is also my favourite art activity when I'm travelling. I can create with minimal supplies on the go.

Here's a look at the page

For this page, I'm using my mini art journal which comes with with textured paper. This is best when I'm playing with water based mediums.

To begin with I splatted Sunshine Mica Powder and misted it with water. On my wet page, I dropped Cider Artist's ink and let the two magically blend. When my page was still went I sprinkled Candy Shimmer dust and slightly misted it with water. I did not use any heat tool, but left my page to naturally dry and that gave me the beautiful blend, shimmer and texture.

Next, I used the party lights stencil with black ink to add my next element. I also lightly stamped a few circles and stars few copper ink.

I finally added a few feathers cut out for the "Fearless, Brave and Free"  collection. I used foam tape to create dimension. From the same collection I also chose a phrase and adhered that. That gave my page meaning.

Layered Card by Aditi

 Hello everyone,

Today I was inspired to use a few paper layers and create a quick card. I love the Scrapbooking collections by Bee Arty and they were perfect for this idea today. Sometimes we want to create something quick and simple and I think this card is perfect for such times.

Here's a look at the card

I started off by picking out a few papers and fussy cutting elements from them.

I next mounted my paper base onto white cardstock.

I now began arranging my abstract fussy cut pieces randomly. When I was happy I adhered them with some foam tape to add dimension.

I then glued my floral elements.

To complete it, I added a sentiment and sequence.

Hope you've enjoyed this quick project share!

In the Flowers- Art Journal by Aditi

 Hello,

Welcome back to the blog! Wishing you all a happy Sunday!

Today I'm back with another video tutorial project from you'll. This time I decided to create a double page mixed media journal spread. I wanted to play with the Artists Colour Dye Inks on my watercolour paper and let the colours do their own magic.

My idea is always 'use minimal supplies, play and create' Here again I've created a quick background with texture paste and a stencil, the inks and stamping. For the focal I've added stamped fussy cut images along with a few die cut images. I love the organic look of this page.

You can watch the process video on the Bee Arty Facebook group or on my YouTube Channel
