 Hey Everyone! Hoping your Monday is off to an AWESOME start! I'm guessing some of you will be getting those kids back to school? We still have a week to go, but I LOVE it when my kids are home! No school lunches to worry about, no drop offs & pick ups... just WORK! Ha, ha!

Anyway, today I wanted to share with you my most recent layout loosely based on the April Sketch this month...

I loved all the layering and mix of stamping... so decided to create my background using lots of Bee Arty Stamps & Stencils.

Here is what my base looked like after stamping and stencilling...

I have then added more colour to the page, using similar colours to the Fearless, Brave and Free Confidence paper that I used, Slipper & Oasis in the Artist Inks {with water} and also Polar Mica Powder...

Can you believe I managed to use all of these Stencils and Stamps!

And this is the final outcome of my layout...

I finished off the page with doodling around the stencilled images & a bit of machine sewing around the edge of the layout & partially around the photos that I matted using Fearless Brave & Free Strength paper

It was so therapeutic creating the background loosely stamping & stencilling! How much fun it is to play with the fabulous Bee Arty Goodies!

I hope I've inspired you to get out a mix of stamps and stencils and create your own background!

Woweeee its December!!!! How fast did this year go... in light of 2020 I think this DT card title says it all....

The paper collection I used this time as my background is from Spread Your Wings collection Too add a little more dimension and interest to the background I stamped it with Geo Grunge - which has a cute little Bee on it ;-)

I then added a layer by using metal  die called Honey Comb

I picked out word elements from same collection, and also stamped and fussy cut around the butterfly from the stamps set called New Dawn

The butterfly is coloured with Colour Shimmer Dust from Bee Arty - Amber, Candy, Paris, Navy

Today I'd like to share a messy way of making a card - but ohhh so satisfying!!

I didnt really have any idea at all when I started to stamp images for this project ...(seems to be my theme ;-) )

But I did know that I wanted to use this stamp and because I feel its a little busy for me, wanted to keep it simple!

Stamp set called New Dawn

And then because I havent played with my Colour Artist Inks from Bee Arty for a while - it was time to find them and dust them off

I placed random droplets of ink on image then blew them around page with a drinking straw

Messy - and finally forming an idea....

Yes involves scissors and fussy cutting

Fussy cut in 3 stages

Inks used are Sunburnt, Grass and Citrus

I found a background paper from Love & Grace Collection that matched (normally I would find paper first then colour to match... but hey, nothing wrong with shaking it up a bit!!)

And finally stuck it all together,

I was very excited when I received bits from the 356 Collection. I was so looking forward to playing with this collection. This page actually started when I was working on a layout using the 365 papers and the Interwoven Stencil. I decided to clean off my stencil in my art journal and see if there was enough texture paste cleaned off to leave an imprint in my journal. As it happens, there was. I was left with an imprint of the stencil, that popped when I added my Shimmer Dust.

As you can see, it is a very subtle impression of the stencil. Not like the gesso resist I used in my last blog post. I used the Velvet Colour Shimmer Dust to add my colour. I love how you can see the individual pigmented colour's used to make the  shimmer dust- it gives you this gorgeous varying colour just by using the one shimmer dust. I've added splodges of white, using a white paint pen pressed firmly to my page.

I used the Three Six Five A5 Stencil with Black Gesso on my page. To add mt focal image, I stamped the New Dawn Stamp onto some tissue paper, and the applied it to  my page using a generous amount of gel medium. this helps the tissue paper become almost translucent.

Today is Full of Possibilities, with Ros Aggett-Madley

Hi, thank you for joining me today.

I keep any packaging that I see creative possibilities with.  Not normally something used with food, but I couldn't help myself.  It was the bottom of my sons pizza before it went in the oven.  It was super clean and I could picture heaps it could be used for.

I started by removing a little of the top cover and applying some White Heavy Gesso, not all over but a fair portion of the surface.  I then added some Colour Blast Paste in Sienna and Deep Water.  I sat aside to dry over night and returned to the most beautiful shimmery goodness.

I have used one of the stamps from the Meridian Stamp Set to add a little stamping around the background.

I have then added some molding paste through the Interwoven Stencil.  Without removing the stencil, I sprinkled over some Dusty Charcoal and Snow White Embossing Powder first.  The reason I didn't remove the stencil first was because I had previously used the Colour Blast Paste.  This can have a slightly tacky feel and I didn't want the embossing powder sticking anywhere but where the stencil had been.  Once removed I heat dried the molding paste and embossing powder to get a nice puffy look.

To start my cluster and focal point on my piece I have die cut some black card with the Geo Direction Die.  I made 2 pieces and top and tailed them on the card and then just layered up some embellishments.

One of the butterflies has been stamped for the New Dawn Stamp Set and heat embossed in black onto vellum.  Once cooled, this has been turned over and painted on the back with Colour Artist Ink in Calypso and Mermaid.  I used a paper towel to paint it and have then cut the butterfly out.

The other 2 butterflies have been die cut in black with the Butterfly Effect Die.  These have been heat embossed with Snow White Embossing Powder for a pretty shimmery look.  I did one half of each butterfly at at time to save burning my fingers.
