"Find Yourself" Tags by Charmane Koch

I had so much fun creating these tags! I used a mix of stamping on tissue paper, stencilling with modelling paste & with Colour Paste. I also found the cute little quotes on either Word Cut outs or from the Word sheets from different collections.

First I sprayed my tags using the cute little Mini Mister sprays filled with a scoop or two of Shimmer Dusts {using the Craft Powder Spoon} and water. I have used Lollipop, Peacock & Passion.

While that dried, I stamped onto tissue paper a few different stamps using black ink:

Fearless

Meridian

Unfortunately the Floral one is Unavailable but I suggest substituting with the Wonderful flower stamp - it would work well too.

I've played around with each tag differently. I have stencilled the Dragonfly Flight onto one using Modelling paste. I have stuck the stamped tissue paper around the edges of the tags - positioning where I thought looked "right".

I have also stencilled "Marked" and "Distance" using Snow White Colour Paste. As you can see here, it looks white, but becomes a glittery clear colour!

The Butterfly Flair is from the Time for Tea Flairs.

I have also treated each of the DIY Hearts slightly differently too. I coloured with the Mister Sprays first on the Heart below, and then once dried I have added the stamped tissue paper, applying with Gel Medium.

I have used the Adhesive Foam to stick on the quotes to give more dimension to my tag.

The Heart below I have applied the Flowers first and then once the Gel Medium has dried I have added the Lollipop Shimmer Dust.

You Amaze Me by Tracey Campbell

Hello everyone, Tracey Campbell here with with my latest 12x12 layout using awesome Colour Blast by Bee Arty products. Do you ever set yourself a challenge? If I'm in a scrapping rut or finding myself without any mojo I set myself a challenge. As I have been busy with work and with my family I have found that my mojo is lacking so it was self challenge time..... "The Three Challenge". Pick three pattern papers, three stencils and three stamps and use them on a page. I picked the following materials to start my self challenge with from the Bee Arty range:

Stamp Sets: Meridian, Cool Words and Fearless

Stencils: Organised Chaos, Keep Going and Encircled

Patterned Papers: Transform, Fearless, Brave & Free, and Strength 

So this is what I did to create my layout. Fussy cut a few squares, triangles and a circle from the Fearless, Brave and Free patterned paper.  Chose and cut out a word title, I picked You Amaze Me. 

Place the Organised Chaos Stencil over the top of the Transform patterned paper spray the image using Envy and Singin The Blues Shimmer Spray. I sprayed the centre of the stencil with the Singin The Blues colour and used Envy on the outer edges.  Tip: place scrap paper over laying the edges of the stencil so that you do not get spray over the stencil to avoid the straight edges on your patterned paper. 

I sprayed in two parts, the top of the page first, then cleaned off the stencil and did the bottom half of the paper. Tip: Flip the stencil while it is still wet with spray onto another sheet of paper of some cardstock to get a reverse image to use as a starting point for another layout.  The photo below shows the imprint left from spaying the Shimmer Sprays on to the patterned paper. 

Using Stormy Weather Embossing Powder, the Meridian stamp and an embossing ink stamp down the right side of the of the patterned paper. 

Set with a heat tool.

Now more stencilling, grab some Heavy Black Gesso, a palette knife and the Encircled stencil. Position the stencil so that it run vertically down the right hand side of the page over lapping the embossing and spray images already on the paper. Spread the Gesso through with a palette knife. 

Flip the stencil and run the lines of the stencil horizontally across the paper, but only stencil half of the image. Set aside to dry.

Use the Strength patterned paper and mat two 3x4 inch portrait photos. Use black ink and stamp the Cool Words down the page running them over the top of the mixed media work you have already done. I apologise that I did not take a photo of me doing this, but you can see the position of the Cool Words in the finished layout. 

Finish off the layout by adhering the photos in the centre of the page where the lines of the Encircled stencil work intersect. Stick with white glue the triangles, squares and the circle so that they overlap with each other (shape cluster) and tuck them under the top left, top right and bottom right corners of the photos.

Adhere the title over the top of the top right hand shape cluster.  

Use a black Sharpie pen and add a bit of journalling and a circle and line boarder around the outer edge of the layout.

The finished layout, a colourful funky layout of my youngest daughter just after her Colour Run at school.

If you have scrolled back to the start of my post to see the list of the 3 stamps, the 3 stencil and the 3 papers to see if I did actually use them all..... well I can say that I came close. I didn't end up using one stamp set and one stencil!! :) I got to the stage where I was happy with the layout and felt it was complete without using them all so I just popped them to the side, after all the really challenge was to find my mojo and I think I found it. I hope that I have given you an idea on how to help yourself of a scrapping rut when mojo is low. Let me know if this works for you.

 Hello lovely people, Tracey Campbell here today with a fun and funky layout using a few different medias, stamps and metal dies.

To start the layout grab a piece of 12x12 cardstock to use as the base. Have you seen that Paige has an exceptional quality cardstock in store? It comes as a 350 gms, 12"x12" 10 pack for just $8. I just love the quality and feel of this cardstock - no bleeding through on the back from wet medias. 

Anywhoo back to the instructions; so next up I used a bowl and drew a circle in the center of the base cardstock with a light led pencil. Using a paint brush paint in the circle with Colour Blast Artist Ink in Marine.

Paint the whole circle in.

Cut the bubbles out from the Progress Patterned Paper in the Arty Farty range. 

 Using a thin black marker draw crossing lines running vertical and horizontal across the base cardstock and over the circle. Then using black ink stamp the dotted circle stamp from the Meridian Stamp Set over the lines.

Next using the cross hatch stamp from the Life is Tough Stamp Set randomly stamp the image onto the base cardstock. I kept the images close to the stamped circles and lines.

Use the metal die Honey Comb and Create to cut them out of white cardstock. I cut two Create frames and I used the Honey Comb small center pieces for this layout. Now grab a bottle of Envy Colour Shimmer Spray and spray the Create and Honey Comb die cuts. Set aside to dry.

Once the Shimmer Spray is dry adhere the elements to the base cardstock by cutting one of the Create frames in half so that it can be put on the two separate sides of the layout. Add the photo to the center of the circle where the lines cross over, place a frame over the photo. Stick the bubbles down as can be seen in the photo below.

Putting the finishing touches onto the layout by sticking the little Honey Comb pieces on the page, adding a title, a few black stikers and journaling. For the final tocuch I drew some black lines around the outer edge of the cardstock.

 

 Here is the finished layout, a fun and funky page that can be used for a variety of themed layouts. It is a good layout to try your hand at mixed media if you are a bit hesitant or a newbie.

Hi everyone, 

Today I am sharing a simple layout using the gorgeous papers designed by Michelle Grant.

I have done some stamping and stenciling work here: I elected to do very little mixed media work as wanted the papers to be the hero.

Over the gorgeous patterned paper I stamped in various spots using the Meridian Clear Stamp Set designed by Michelle Grant.

To add a bit of bling, added some stars around the page with some 'Bling' Colour Paste through a 'That Way' A4 stencil. 

Next, I added some splatters randomly over the page with both 'Road Base' Colour Spray and 'Soot' Colour Artist Ink  

For the layers behind the portrait 3x4 size photo I used 'Courage', 'Progress' and 'Muse' papers, also by Colour Blast and designed by Michelle Grant.

The 12" x 12" 'Muse' sheet was the background paper use here.

For my little cluster next to the quote I used chipboard by Kinder Kreations and a handmade embellishment by Charms Creations. I gathered some flowers and sequins lightly around here.

Finally, for my title I cut up a quote from the 'Courage' patterned paper. These words matched so well with the theme here.

Morning Bee Arty fans...

Today I am sharing my monthly project - 3 tags

Before i start any project, I always pick out my paper, not only does this give me a colour scheme to go off, it also tends to give me ideas depending how much of it I have.
I had left overs from Arty Farty paper range that I couldn't bear throwing out, which gave me the idea to make tags.

After cutting out a tag shape and gluing a strip down the side and picking out a stencil called Bricked,  I then mixed in some Shimmer Dust - Velvet into some Gesso and put a layer over the stencil on 2 tags and a Shimmer Dust - Paris/Gesso mix onto the last tag.

I then set aside to dry, which didn't take that long while I gathered up what I needed for next stage.

So for Tag 1 - I picked matching flowers that were 2 different sizes. Stamped each a couple times each with Archival Ink onto watercolour paper so the black outline wouldn't run when I coloured them with Shimmer Dust - Duke

Stamp set I used for this is called Floral Delights 2. ( I actually used the flowers from this set for all 3 tags), I also stamped on the tag to cover in some spaces one of the stamps from Meridian

Got to love fussy cutting!

I repeated the process for Tag 2,  but also added the paint brushes and words from Live Your Art stamp set. Shimmer Dust colours used for these flowers are Peacock and Lollipop

Lastly Tag 3 - I stamped on background one of the stamps from Geo Grunge

Shimmer Dust colours used were Duke and Velvet

I also used for the first time in center of flowers... Shimmer Pen... OMGeeee... squeal ... this pen is so cool and leaves such a shimmer!!

..

And so, after assembling them all together, free hand drawing lines around the edges, hole punching and adding twine, I have ended up with 3 bright and fun tags
