Cards made with Love - A Country Life

Hiya Arty friends and welcome back to the blog! Today I'm sharing two cards featuring a host of products from the "A Country Life" release from Sue Smyth so let's get into it!

Products used today are the A Country Life 12 x 12 Paper Collection, Made With Love Stamp, Country Borders Die Set and the Cracked Mud A6 Stencil.

For Card One, I wanted to make the background paper look like a jam jar, so I used the scalloped edged die on the green and olive check paper three times, then lined them up overlapping each other a little and glued them down onto my strawberry paper base. I cut an oval white piece of cardstock, and have stamped on the Made With Love strawberries image in Antique Linen Distress Ink to give a subtle bit of texture behind the stamped sentiment. I added three cut apart pieces from the paper collection to complete the 'label' and foam mounted it to my card.

For Card Two I used the wood panel patterned paper as my background and added the leafy vine die cut along the left hand side that I swiped the tips of in Old Paper Distress Ink. Again I added an oval as my centrepiece, this time using the Old Paper Distress Ink over the Cracked Mud stencil for a bit of background texture and again stamped the sentiment from the Made With Love stamp set. I fussy cut out my three images and attached them to the left hand side. I have foam mounted this to the centre of my card.

Purrrrfect Cards for Pawrents

Hiya Arty friends! Today I'm sharing two Diagonal Joyfold Cards I created using the sweet Purr-fection and Good Dog A4 Cut Apart Sheets, so let's get into it!

To start with I created two A6 card bases; one from kraft cardstock and the other from white cardstock, then cut the front of the card on the diagonal from top left to bottom right. I then made two mini top folding cards measuring 10.8cm x 7.6cm cm once folded.

I then used papers from the Potions and Posies collection to line the inside of the card base - 10cm x 14.3cm, glued my mini card on the inside, then added a diagonal pattern to the front - the best way to do this is to cut a regular panel 9.5cm x 13.8cm and then cut it on the diagonal, giving your a small border of cardstock,  and a small piece of pattern paper to cover the front of the mini top folding card measuring 10.3cm x 7.1cm.

After that, I fussy cut my animals from the A4 cut apart sheets as well as the sentiments and the paw and heart pieces. I foam mounted my animals, then glued the sentiments and paw/heart down.

I just love how these cards sit on the table/mantle, with the little furbabies standing out! Have a fantastic weekend and we'll see you again soon. - Kelly.
