Bee Happy - You are the Sunshine of my Life by Charmane Koch

 Hey guys! Today I thought I would share with you a layout that I created a while ago, but for some reason I hadn't shared yet!

I've used lots of goodies from the Bee The Sunshine range!

I started off by stamping directly onto the background paper - Find your Way stamp - to the top left of where I wanted my photo, and then to the bottom right of the photo.

I have then mixed together Sunshine Mica Powder with some Gel Medium to create a paste.

I have stencilled the Flower Garden Sunflower a few times along the right side of the layout, overlapping over parts of the stamp & stencilled Abstract Daisy along the left hand side of the paper.

I also stamped the Find your Way stamp a few times onto white tissue paper. I've then cut around the tissue paper and the using Gel Medium stuck down the stamped tissue paper into the desired position on the layout.

I love how you can see the stencilled flower through the stamped tissue paper, giving a nice layered effect.

To give my layout a bit of 3D effect I have used cardboard to life my photo & the word cut outs. Since this layout I have bought the fabulous Adhesive Foam strips which is perfect to do this as well.

Before I stuck my Word Cut out title I inked the edges of each piece.

This was quite a simple layout to put together, but I love how it has turned out.
The colours of this collection are perfect!

The stamps & stencils I've used:

The papers are all beautiful in this range - I used the Pretty Fields paper...

Thanks for popping by! Hope you get a chance to create and maybe give this layout a go?

Happy, by Amanda Hartmann

Hello Bee Arty Fans,

Happy Saturday! Ready for some Shimmer Dust inspiration!?

Full step by step instructions are below so I hope you follow my steps to create some fun pages of your own!

I created this page during our recent Bee Arty retreat. I created the background with stenciling and Shimmer Dust. Then I layered die cuts, lace, thread, stickers, and a Charms Creations (also coloured with Shimmer Dust)

Products used:

* Heavy White Cardstock

* Black Cardstock

* White Gesso

* Colour Shimmer Dust - in NEW colour Jacaranda

* Colour Artist Inks in Soot.

* Bee Arty: Bee the Sunshine: Honeycomb Spray A5 Stencil

* Colour Blast: Compass Metal Die

* Bee Arty: Embrace Change: Autumn Trio Metal Die

* Embossing Powder: Indigo Sparkle (embossed chipboard title)

Last night, I decided to recreate the page (with a different colour) so you could see the steps I took.

Second project: "Photo Op"!

Bringing in the orange of the Amber Shimmer Dust in this one!

Products used:

Heavy White Cardstock

Kraft Cardstock

White Gesso

Colour Shimmer Dust - in Amber

Colour Artist Inks in Soot.

* Bee Arty: Bee the Sunshine: Honeycomb Spray A5 Stencil

* Bee Arty: Destimation Anywhere: Grungy Filmstrip Metal Die

WHY to try this technique?

Gessoing the paper first is the key to this technique. It means your have time to play with and move the colour around the page before it soaks in and sets. You can layer extra colour, or extra water to get lighter and darker elements. You can experiment with adding complimentary colours. Moving and drying the colours lets you see all the complex colours and shimmer in the shimmer dusts. You will have such fun exploring and experimenting!

Thanks for looking today!

Bee Happy - With Karyn Schultz!

 Hi Bee Arty Lovelies!

It's Karyn here and today I have a scrapbook page to share with you made using lots of fabulous arty products from the Bee The Sunshine collection at Bee Arty

I started with a sheet of 350gsm Heavy White Cardstock and used a painting with plastic technique to add Blush and Stormy Weather Mica powders.
Then I added splatters of Blush, Stormy Weather and Lemon Zing Mica powders.

I added stamping using the Find Your Way stamp and Black Archival ink

I added texture to my page using the Abstract Daisy A6 stencil and some Lemon Zing Mica powder mixed with heavy gloss gel.

Here is my completed page. Look at these ratbags!

To complete the page I've added photo mats and strips of paper along the top and bottom of the page using Bee The Sunshine paper offcuts.
I've used a free cutfile from Paige Taylor Evans and backed it with more offcuts from the Bee The Sunshine collection pack
Fussy cut images are from the Sunny Days paper.
I've added diecuts from the Flower Stems metal die set created using 250gsm White Cardstock.

Thanks so much for stopping by
