 Hello & Happy Tuesday to you all!

Well, I have just got back Sunday night from a lovely Bee Arty Retreat! And it was definitely what I needed to refresh & reboot! Although now, I am in recovery mode - Retreat Hangover! LOL!

Thanks so much to Paige for EVERYTHING! I would be beside myself, with last minute changes to the venue & sorting everything out! But it did in the end, and it was AMAZING!

Anyway, so while I was there I managed to scrap a "few" layouts - too much chatting does limit the amount to create!

I wanted to share with you one of the two layouts I created based on the May Moodboard/Sketch Challenge at Bee Arty... 

I went with the colours and added a few flowers based on the image of the flowers too....

I started off by gathering all the Bee Arty colours - Candy, Sunflower, Apple of My Eye & Blush - either in Mica Powder or Shimmer Dust - splattering these colours to Bee Arty Thick White Cardstock that I had added White Heavy Gesso too.

I have then collected some bits and pieces that I have accumulated on my scrappy table to create clusters around my photo. The photo I have matted using one of the lovely NEW Bee the Sunshine papers, I have also backed the White Cardstock with Bee the Sunshine Paper too.

I've coloured the #bestday chipboard with Wine Shimmer Dust & also the Diamond Metal Die.

I've stamped the cute Man & Woman stamp from the Scrabble - Clear Stamp Set randomly on the page using the Apple of my Eye Mica Powder & Water.

PS... here's a sneak of the other layout I created based on the sketch.... using the NEW Snow White Shimmer Spray - it's so gorgeous!

Hello friends!!

Sometimes it is fun to pick one of your favourite colours and stick with that! So today I share my monochromatic layout! And I picked yellow!

Let's look how I created today's page!

  

Step 1: I stuck some puffy stickers to a sheet of smooth white cardstock, and gesso'd over the entire page. I used Heavy white gesso.

Step 2: I used some of the Heavy white gesso through a small hearts stencil.

Step 3: I used Colour Shimmer Dust in Sunflower - sprinkled the dust and spritzed with water. I used a heat gun to heat set the yellow.

I finished the page with some Colour Shimmer Spray in Steel - to painted the edges and splatter the page.

Here is the final page... and me with my beautiful sister.

I love the colour variations of the Sunflower on the page around the hearts, and the stickers.

I thought it was time to pull out some old holiday photos. So what better way than to start with Fiji. If only I was there right now.

To begin my layout I spread Leather Colour Paste through a stencil. 

I stamped flowers from the Floral Delights 1 Stamp Set. 

I activated my Shimmer Dusts in a deep palette I use. This allows the unused mix to dry/evaporate leaving the dust to reactivate again later. I used Candy, Sunflower & Amber. I painted my stamped flowers, then once dry I cut them out.

 To begin my chipboard title I first spread Dorland's Wax Medium over 2 stamps so they would be ready to use. For the tree trunk i heat embossed with Leather Embossing Powder. But before it set I stamped it. I did the same thing with my palms using Envy Embossing Powder.

I used Just Blue Embossing Powder  to finish my title. To give my page a border I used Fire Engine Embossing Powder around the edges.

I splattered Love, Saffron & Sunset Colour Spray around. 

Apart from backing my photo, giving the inside of my flowers a touch of dimensional magic I was done. I kept it really simple.

Hi! Today I'm using a simple technique which has been around a long time, but has been back in the spotlight recently

Here's a little taster.....

I used a few little dots of both Black Heavy Gesso and White Heavy Gesso on damp Kraft cardstock in random spots. Then I laid plastic wrap lightly over the top, and gently smoothed the 2 colours into each other.  Every now and then I lifted the wrap and sprayed a little more water. Once I was happy with it I let it air dry  - it took quite a while!!

Once it was totally dry, I used Colour Paste in Sunshine to stencil in some areas.

Finally, I mixed a little Colour Shimmer Powder in Sunflower with water a spread some on my page near the stencilling using the packaging technique. I finished it off with a brush, and then splatters (of course!)

I had pre-arranged my photo and layers so added these on too now, plus another cluster to balance the page. That's it!

You could also add any of the mediums like Colour Artist Inks or Colour Shimmer Dust

to the gesso - I might try this later! I hope you take some time to try this simple technique 😀

Hi All - I'm back again, this time with a clean and pretty page - but still using some of my favourite Colour Blast products 😀

Here's a wee peek...

I started off with some white cardstock and my Colour Shimmer Dust in Sunflower, Candy, Passion and Cobalt. I wanted a pastel effect so I only put a little colour out, even then I ended up putting a lot of the Cobalt one back.

The photo on the left shows how much of the Candy I put out, and the one on the right how much I still had left when I finished. So concentrated!!

Using a soft flat brush I painted four large stripes.

For each of the stripes, I wanted a matching Colour Paste to stencil with. I chose Sunshine, Singin the Blues and Punch. I didn't have one to match exactly for the lavender, so I tinted some Rose Petal with a little Royalty which was perfect.

Using a stencil, I applied one colour at a time, waiting for the Colour Paste to air dry between each colour. That way I was able to match up the pattern each time.

It was hard to decide the rest of the design after that because I loved how it looked so much 😆

I chose a black and white photo because of all the colour already on the page. I used so many different collections from my stash to build layers and embellish!

I love how this one turned out, I hope you can take some inspiration from it too 😀

Hi Colour Blast fans!

I had fun making this really quick Art Journal page, using lots of Colour Blast Australia products...I find that when I get in a rut with scrapbooking, this always fires things up again 😀

Here's a sneaky wee pic

I had just received some awesome Visible Image stamps and stencils, and I couldn't wait to use them..so I started this page with one of the stencils, along with a couple of other ones I've had for a while.

I had already pre-gessoed my journal (which is an old reference book), and used the Tim Holtz stencils along with modelling paste around the edges of my page.

Once the paste was dry, I sprayed it with water, then started dropping little bits of Colour Shimmer Dust in Sunflower, Paris, Passion, Lush, Peacock, and Cobalt. It needed a little more water sprayed and I moved the page around to make it flow. My fave patch is where the Sunflower was next to Passion 😍

Once that part was dry, I used the Visible Image stencil and Colour Paste in Dusty Charcoal on the left hand page, then wiped it, flipped it and re-did it on the right hand page.

I was almost tempted to leave it at this...

But then I got out my White Heavy Gesso and double-coated inside the eyes.

And then I used Colour Artist Ink in Calypso and Marine for the irises.

I added some stamping, and some Shimmer Cube in Bling - but that wasn't enough, so I drybrushed some Colour Paste in Bling over the highlights too - look at that sparkle!!

               

              

Finally I added a quote from Pinterest that I love, and here's the finished page 😃
