"Happiness" by Anita Enright

 For my share today I thought I would share with you another layout that I completed using the Fearless Brave and Free, Three Six Five and Arty Farty collections along with Artist Inks, Shimmer sprays, Shimmer Dusts and Embossing Powders.

For my page I used the MUSE patterned paper from the Arty Farty collection designed by the super talented Michelle Grant. Using the Arches A5 stencil and some matching distress inks I applied colour through the stencil to the patterned paper.  I added some 'splats' to the page using a blue shimmer spray. From one of the collection I used a white Hexagon die cut and after making a mix of Duke Shimmer Dust and water, coloured the white die cut.  

 I created a colourful piece of smooth white cardstock using Artist Inks in Lime, Marine, Mermaid and Calypso.

I then used this piece of cardstock and die cut the FRAME metal die from the Fearless Brave and Free collection and also the  GEO DIRECTION metal die from the Three Six Five collection designed by the amazing Tania Froud. 

The GEO DIRECTION die cut was cut in half and applied to the back of the mounted photo, as was the hexagon die cut that was coloured earlier.  The FRAME die cut was glued on top of the photo.

 

Wording on the page came from the FREE word sheet from the Fearless Brave and Free range designed by mega designer Fiona Paltridge.

I heat embossed the happiness chipboard word with Apple of My Eye Embossing Powder.

 

 

Before layering all the pieces down I grabbed some washie tape in matching colours and designs and applied where the photo was being applied.

 

To finish the page I used a Charms Creation tab, yellow twine and different enamel dots, arrows and triangles.

"Cherish" by Anita Enright

 

Hey Everyone

I wanted to share with you a layout that I created using the gorgeous papers from the Vampyre Rose collection designed by Sue Smyth.  Everything about this collection is just stunning.

 

On the gorgeous background patterned paper I used the A4 stencil Devotion, both the flowers and the hearts to add some white texture paste.  I love how the white pops on the background.

 The layering around the photo incorporated the Desire metal die using the filigree heart and the edging die cut in a matching red cardstock.

The majority of the photos I use I print out at home as I want to use them as I found that when I was printing in bulk I always reprinted previous photos, and then the vast majority I didn't even use. So my little Selphy printer is just perfect to print as I go.

I tend to print most with a white border which gives me a photo mat straight away and I save on white cardstock.

For the 'Cherish' chipboard title I used the pretty Blush Embossing Powder. Other elements around my photo include gorgeous venise lace, some of the black and white flowers from the cut apart sheet, flowers and chipboard branches.... and don't you just love those cute little butterflies!!

Fiji by Suzy Loudon

I thought it was time to pull out some old holiday photos. So what better way than to start with Fiji. If only I was there right now.

To begin my layout I spread Leather Colour Paste through a stencil. 

I stamped flowers from the Floral Delights 1 Stamp Set. 

I activated my Shimmer Dusts in a deep palette I use. This allows the unused mix to dry/evaporate leaving the dust to reactivate again later. I used Candy, Sunflower & Amber. I painted my stamped flowers, then once dry I cut them out.

 To begin my chipboard title I first spread Dorland's Wax Medium over 2 stamps so they would be ready to use. For the tree trunk i heat embossed with Leather Embossing Powder. But before it set I stamped it. I did the same thing with my palms using Envy Embossing Powder.

I used Just Blue Embossing Powder  to finish my title. To give my page a border I used Fire Engine Embossing Powder around the edges.

I splattered Love, Saffron & Sunset Colour Spray around. 

Apart from backing my photo, giving the inside of my flowers a touch of dimensional magic I was done. I kept it really simple.

You Make Me Smile by Suzy Loudon

Happy 2020 everyone. I hope everyone has had a great festive season.

To kick the year off I'm sharing a layout using the gorgeous "Love & Grace" paper range.

To begin with I tore the edges of my paper "Effie" & distressed the edges before sticking down onto some grey card.

I used Snow White Colour Paste through the "Scripted" Stencil. 

Using another sheet of "Effie" I cut up the back using it to matt my photo. Each piece was distressed around the edges.

I distressed the edges of my photo also. And used cardboard between my layers.

I embossed my chipboard using Apple of my Eye, Singin' the Blues & Steel Embossing Powder.

Then sprayed the backing chipboard with Snow White Shimmer Spray. Then glued it all down once dry.

I gave my cheesecloth a spray with Apple of my Eye Shimmer Spray.

 My title I embossed with Bling Embossing Powder.

I wasn't home when I created this layout & didn't have any green card with me. So I spread some Apple of my Eye Colour paste on paper. When dry I used a metal die to cut out some leaves. I was really happy with the way they turned out & will do more in the future.

Once everything was stuck down I splattered some Heavy White Gesso (mixed with some water) around (but cover your photo first)

 I forgot to take photos, but I sprayed my flowers with Singin' the Blues & Apple of my Eye Shimmer Sprays.

I added some lace & micro beads to complete.

Relaxing by Suzy Loudon

Hi everyone. I was very excited when I got my hands on some of the Love & Grace Paper range. I just LOVE it. So first opportunity I grabbed one of my favourites & this is what I came up with.

To begin with I tore the edges of "Lucinda" & stuck it down on some black card.

Using the 'Imagine' Stencil I first spread Just Blue Colour Paste then lightly spread Singin' The Blues Colour Paste over the top.

  

Then using one of the earlier Colour Blast Stamp sets I did some random stamping.

Using Duke Shimmer Dust I activated a small amount with water. Using plastic I stamped it on my page.

Using Navy Shimmer Dust I lightly sprayed some cheese cloth with a spray I have made up. I gently dried it with my heat gun.

I embossed my chipboard with Jet Black Embossing Powder.

To colour my white flowers I used Marine Artist Ink. I varied from dipping the flower into the pot to mixing with various amounts of water to give various shades.

Using Snow White Colour Paste I used a mould to make flourishes.

Assembling my page I added art stones, butterflies & a flair. Keeping it pretty simple. Here's some close-ups.

Isle Of Pines by Suzy Loudon

Happy Friday (.....to those that won't be working the weekend like me).

For today's layout I went back to some of the original products.

I started with a pale blue cardstock that faded to white at the edges.

Using white tissue paper I pasted it down with a clear gesso scrunching it as I went. I continued to paint the whole page with the clear gesso to seal it (as at this stage I still wasn't too sure on what I was going to do).

I decided to dab Sapphire Colour Spray using a paint brush then added more with Carribean Colour Spray. Spraying a little water to meld it all together. Then finishing off with splatters of each.

I sprayed Steel Shimmer Spray all over to give the page some sparkle.

With a dry feather brush I went gently over the blue with Heavy White Gesso to give it a bit of a wave effect.

I painted all my chipboard with Heavy White Gesso.

Using a green paint I had I painted the top of my chipboard then using the Heavy White Gesso I painted up from the bottom overlapping.

Once dry I embossed the top with Envy Embossing Powder and the bottom with Snow White Embossing Powder.

I got out my stash of Colour Pastes. Starting with Leather, Envy & Singin' The Blues I put a little of each on my craft mat & added a little water before painting it on my chipboards.

I kept going on all my chipboard bits using Bling, Sienna, Lovely Lilac, Lemon Zing, Tangareen Dream & Rose Petal Colour Pastes.. I also used Bling for some highlights.

Using Bubblegum & Roadbase Colour Sprays I painted my snorkelling gear.

Using Deep Water Shimmer Spray I spray some cheese cloth & dried it off. Then added some splatters around the page.

For my little letters I painted them one at a time with Heavy White Gesso and before it could dry I dipped each one in Deep Water Embossing Powder then heat activating.

Once I stuck all my elements down I painted the edges of my page with White Gesso before watering a little gesso down with water & adding some splatters.

I also added some real shells, some small coloured rocks, sequins and glitter for final touches.
