Good Morning everyone, it's Fiona again sharing this layout of my daughter, Georgia & her then, beautiful Fijian boyfriend, Isoa.

Let's get started with the  process.

I had used the Colour Mica Powders in Olive Grove & Espresso, on another project as a water colour so decided to use the left over for a background. I just splattered them in a triangular shape over the page, using a paintbrush.

I then wanted to add a wash over the top so I spritzed the page with water and used the packaging technique with the Colour Spray in Sapphire & Snow White Colour Shimmer Spray... I found out that Mica Powders can be reactivated with water, so ended up with a somewhat muddy look.... which was ok.

To help bring the muddy look together, I thought I would use the Colour Paste in Leather, through this cute little leaf shape stencil, for a subtle detail.

While my paste was drying I started work on my embellishments.

I took my chipboard  scribble circle shape and title, and heat embossed them using the Colour Embossing Powders in Leather & Deep Water.

Finally, I layered my photo on some coordinating papers and put it all together, cutting my circle in 2 and layering it behind my picture..

i added some splatters of  Bling- Colour Shimmer Spray around the page too.

 

In the end, I am quite happy with the results... Hope you all have a great day.

Life is a Journey by Suzy Loudon

 Hello crafty friends. I'm back again to share a page of my oldest son. I had lots of fun getting messy with the gorgeous Colour Blast products once again.

To begin with I spread some Colour Heavy White Gesso all over my white cardstock. I did this as I wanted the colours I was going to use to sit on top not get soaked into my cardstock. 

Once the Gesso was dry I used black stazon ink to randomly stamp in a t 

For my background I used Colour Shimmer Dust in Navy. I added sprinkles of dust then water to activate. Drying in between layers I kept adding more & building up until I was happy.

I then did the same using more Colour Shimmer Dust in Duke. Not too much as I didn't want to alter/re activate the Navy too much.

I then made my own spray using Colour Mica Powder in Polar. To do this I used a clean spray bottle, water, Polar Mica Powder & a small amount of craft glue to bind it together. A good shake & it's ready to go.

Using my new Polar Spray I gave the page a very light spray all over.

Using my Colour Heavy White Gesso & a flat paint brush I made circles by twisting my paint brush. As I did this the Gesso activated the Dust underneath adding a twist of blue into the circles.

Using my Colour Black Heavy Gesso I outlined my circles using a fine paint brush.

Using my Black Heavy Gesso and my finger I spread it around the edge of my page and photo.

Using Colour Embossing Powder in Dusty Charcoal I embossed some chipboard.

I couldn't find any black Hessian so I grabbed what I had and sprayed it using Colour Spray in Road Base. After spraying I turned the hessian over & ran it through the spray on my craft mat soaking it all up.

I grabbed some more chipboard & gave it a spray with Colour Spray in Road Base.

I then gave it a spray with Colour Shimmer Spray in Steel.

When I'm gluing down bulking items I place one of my stamp blocks on top then add some weight & leave to dry. This allows things to glue down flat.

I covered my photo & added some splashes using my watered down Heavy Black Gesso mix.

And I was done. Love all the shimmery goodness.

Good Morning Ladies!!!

I had an off the page project that's going to have to wait....

Because I'm a proud mum that couldn't resist

hitting the craft table and showing off my little girl

that has made me proud as punch!

To get started I attached a sheet of white cardstock to
chipboard.
Then got my Black Gesso and a brush.
I decided on a 4x6 photo and with this in mind I painted a rectangular section.
Then I went around the edges in a sweeping motion away
from the square to soften the look. 



This dries quickly and gives a beautiful cover.

I decided at this point to paint a section to the top left and bottom

right of the layout.

I used the same technique to soften the edge.

We have an Oz theme coming your way so the perfect addition was the Bling Colour Paste with this cobblestone stencil.

I started at the top left of my page and worked randomly down on an angle finishing at the bottom right.

At this stage I made the decision to add a disconnected piece of cobblestone.

This part really goes on your visual preference.

Its time to get into some colour!!

I've chosen to work with Colour Shimmer Dust in Lush

I used a paint brush and spritzer as my application tools.

I prefer to work with a medicine cup when using a single colour.

I add my water first then using a spatula I added a touch of the lush powder.

Mix it well and get started by adding the Colour Shimmer Dust to the top left of my layout.

First I added colour using the paint brush.

Creating pools which I moved around my layout till I had my Desired effect that was pleasing to the eye.

I then spritzed with water and left my layout flat to dry.

You can see the change in the effect below.

I did this in 3 sections working my way across the page.

Doing it in smaller sections makes it easier to control the colour.

This is a great shot above to see the clean drips.

You can keep this if desired.

Below you will now see how the water changes the effect.

Once dry I applied some Colour Shimmer Spray in Bling.

I did this around the edges of my Gesso.

Some stamping is next for texture followed by a few embellishments to finish.

You can see in the above image how the water added different layers of texture to the layout as it dried.

 I chose to border the layout with a hand drawn cobblestown feature creating random clusters

The music not stamp was a nice addition and you can see

how beautiful the coverage of the Black Gesso is here!

The stazon ink isn't visible when stamped over it.

I'm not sure of a black gesso that in one application offers such a complete coverage.

I love the Bling along side the Foiled Cardstock

This has to be a staple for any scrapbooker!

Hi Colour Blast Lovelies. 

Krisy back again today to share a layout that I have been sitting on for a while.  I really love this picture and the words and styling had to be just right.

Here is my Layout:

For this layout I went with a piece of patterned paper and then created a base using a thin layer of  Colour Blast Heavy White Gesso applied with an old rewards card in a messy fashion in the middle of the page.  Over the top I sprayed some Road Base Colour Spray and then using a heart stencil, I added some Colour Paste in Bling.

Once that was dry, I added strips of washi tape across the middle, a paper doily and some thread and my photo.  To finish off the layout I added some chipboard pieces.  I embossed them with some heavy black embossing powder and while they were still sticky I sprinkled some Colour  Embossing Powder in Bling over the top and then heated it again.  The Colour Embossing Powder melts into the black but doesn't mix giving a really nice gold fleck finish.  It can be subtle like in my Mr & Mrs title or you can add more and build it up like on the heart.  

To the heart, when it was just about dry, I used the same roller stamp I stamped on the background and pushed it in to the soft embossing powder.  This leaves a nice impression on the embossing powder and it doesn't stick or damage your stamp if you wait until it is almost cool.  It's a bit of trial and error but you can always reheat the embossing powder and it goes smooth again so you can have another go.

I hope I have inspired you today to pull out your Colour Embossing Powders and try sprinkling different colours together to create flecks or giving your stamps a work out and adding some embossing to your chipboard.
