Just A Kitchen Dance Party by Charmane Koch

Happy Tuesday everyone! Today I am sharing with you a layout I created using a mix of Dies and Gold Mirror Board & Pink & Purple Shimmer Dusts from Bee Arty, it's amazing how many variants of colour you can get just from a couple of Shimmer Dust colours - depending on how much water is added.

I cut out a few different dies with Gold Mirror Board & white cardstock - Beaded Die, Desire Metal Die & Party Metal Die.

I coloured the White Cardstock Dies with a mix of Lollipop & Passion Shimmer Dusts.

I also coloured a Charms Creations DIY Heart using the same mix of colours. I used the same colours for the background of the layout. I splattered the Shimmer Dusts with a paint brush.

I coloured the chipboard veneer with Passion Shimmer Dusts. Love the shimmery effect the Shimmer Dusts have.

These are the dies I used...

I added the title & heart stickers & I also added a Bee Arty Flair

Had so much fun putting this layout together! Thanks so much for popping by!

Shimmer dust – Tan, Peacock, Wine

Globe metal die
Pipettes

Own stash products used:
Grid stamp (own stash)
Double sided tape
Mounting Tape
Muslin
Distress oxide or Archival Ink pad in Ground Expresso
Blending Tool
Foil sheet in mocha

Colour in the girl’s face from the Time 12x12 scrapbook paper using Life of colour Pens 12 pack – skin tones and Life of colour Pens 12 pack – classic pens.

Fussy cut around the edge of head shape.

Apply texture paste through the Scripted - A5 Stencil – Bee Arty with a palette knife around several areas of the page.  Dry off completely.

Prepare the Shimmer dust – Tan, Peacock, Wine in a palette by adding water with a Pipettes.  Using a large round brush firstly, dip into the Tan colour, brush along the top of page then spritz with water to shift the colour down the page.  Dry off.  Repeat this step with Peacock shimmer dust, spritz with water then dry off.  Again repeat using the wine shimmer dust, spritz then dry off.  Be careful with this step as there is a lot of water on the page and may weaken the structure of paper until dry.

Distress the textured stencil areas with distress oxide or archival ink pad in ground expresso using a blending tool to darken these areas.

Prepare the die cuts by running the Globe metal die through the machine with foil card.
Stamping onto the White Cardstock – Bee Arty,
the bird from the One of a Kind cling stamp with Versamark Stamp pad translucent, sprinkle with Embossing powder – Steel.  Heat seal the powder to set.

Collect embellishments to continue –
·       Die cut cogs
·       Assortment Metal cogs pack
·       Cardstock coloured with leftover Peacock, Tan and Wine washes (distressed edges)
·       Muslin
·       Bird stamp coloured with Shimmer dust – Tan, Peacock, Wine

Add lots of background/ghost stamping with the Grid stamp and black archival ink.
Add random background / border marks using the chain from the One of a kind stamp around the page.

Arrange the coloured cardstock onto as per the above image. Secure to page with double sided tape.  N.B.  be sure to leave the edges of the cardstock free so other elements (metal cogs) can be slotted in under the card.

Lay the muslin over the cardstock, adhere the muslin over the cardstock with gel matt medium (being careful as the shimmer dust colours will shift slightly once rewet).

Arrange the die cut metal cogs and real metal cogs around the page (cut the ‘globe’ away from the cog cluster).
Also place the bird in position then add metal cogs on and around as desired.

Add foam tape behind the face to lift off the page.
Adhere all these elements to the page.

Add sentiment/quote to the page using foam tape.

Thank you for stopping by and happy creating!

2nd Birthday by Tracey Campbell

Hello everyone, it is my turn on the blog today and I wanted to show you my latest 12x12 layout that I created using the Fireworks Collection. Have you seen it? It is such a delightful collection, full of fun exciting papers that burst with colours. Perfect for Birthdays, celebrations and special occasions.

I've used it to create a fun layout for Bronte, my oldest daughters 2nd Birthday, a day we celebrated with family and friends with a little party for her.

The first step I did was to spread some clear gesso through the starts and circles on the Fireworks A4 Stencil  onto some white cardstock, I concentrated the images across the top of the page and then the bottom left and right hand corners.

While the clear gesso was drying I fussy cut out some of the images from the Bunting patterned paper. I chose two pieces of cake, four balloons, two party hats and a bow. I also cut out two word blocks from the Colourful patterned paper.

Once the clear gesso was dry I lightly sprinkled some Lollipop Colour Shimmer Dust over the 12x12 white cardstock

Next I activated the Lollipop Colour Shimmer Dust with some water.

This is what the Colour Shimmer Dust looked like after it was dry.

While the Colour Shimmer Dust was drying I cut five 20x8 cm rectangles from the following patterned papers; Bonfire x 2, Magical, Big Hugs and Sparkles. I then placed a strip of double sided sticky tape across the top of the rectangle and used fringing scissors to cut along the length of the rectangle, up to the tape. If you don't have fringing scissors you can do single cuts with normal scissors. I used both the A and B side of the Bonfire patterned paper, so that I had both a yellow and orange length of fringed paper.

Take of the double sided tape and layer the fringed paper over the top of each other in the centre of the Shimmer Dusted white cardstock. I started with yellow, then orange, the purple in the middle with green and finally blue on top.

Use the same coloured patterned papers and double matt two 9x7cm photos.

Adhere a 6x6 inch photo in the centre of the fringed paper and position the two smaller photos to either side. Adhere with strong double sided tape of some clear drying glue as it can be difficult to get the photos to stick to the fringed paper securely.

Using the Numbers Metal Die and the Uppercase Stamp Set make the title for the page. I used the "2nd" from the Numbers Metal Die set and cut it out from the Bonfire patterned paper. I then used a waterproof black ink and the Uppercase Stamp Set to stamp the word "Birthday".

When the black ink was dry I made some water colour paint with a small amount of Lollipop Colour Shimmer Dust and painted the thicker parts of the letters from the Uppercase Stamp Set. When they were dry I fussy cut them out.

Last I put the layout together by using 3 dimensional tape to stick the fussy cut elements out around the photos, I added some string to the balloons to make it seem like they are flying through the air and I rant the title under the centre photo.

I hope that I have inspired you to take a look at the Fireworks Collection, it truly is a beautiful collection with so mush versatility.

Hugs
Tracey

Sunshine and Roses Journal Page by Sunila

 Hello Bee Arty Lovelies,

Today I'm back with a pictorial for you all! This time, I'm sharing a mixed media style journal page with simple easy steps using the Bee The Sunshine Collection.

This collection is fun and vibrant, just what I enjoy when creating. So get your scissors out, and start fussy cutting all the lovely elements.

Here's a look at the page.

Step 1- Cut a piece of pattern paper from the collection depending on the size of your journal. I usually like to leave an 1/2 inch border on all sides. Distress the edges of the paper and adhere it down in the book.

Step 2- Apply White Paste through a stencil randomly on the page.

Step 3- Add texture, with a background stamp and inks. Black inks and coloured inks that go with the existing colours, work well for this. I've used a shade of Brown.

Step 4- Pick out all the fussy cut elements from the collection, and layer them on the page. Stick some flat down and some with foam tape, bringing in dimension,

Here's a look at some close-ups:

Supplies used:

Bee Arty Collection- Bee The Sunshine

Rhythm Stencil

Memories Rubber Stamp

Snow White Colour Paste

Hope you enjoyed this tutorial!

Hugs,

Sunila
