 Hello Bee Arty fans!

It's Belinda here with you today to share my layout created for Bee Arty inspired by the August Sketch Challenge.

Here's a reminder of the awesome sketch:

I chose to work with the stunning Grateful Heart Collection for my layout.

I cropped a sheet of the Grateful Heart Love patterned paper and mounted on a sheet of the fabulous 350gsm white cardstock. I spritzed the page with water and added Road Base Colour Spray. I spritzed with a bit more water and played around with the ink on the page. I used a paintbrush to help spread the colour on the page and also flicked some of the colour over the surface. Then I set it aside to dry.

Once my page was completely dry, I added some stamping using Jet Black Ranger Archival Ink with the Bokeh Stamp. I also added stencilling using Stormy Weather Colour Paste with the Circulate Stencil.

Once the Colour Paste was dry, I added my layered, cropped patterned papers according to the sketch. 

I die cut some leafy stems using the Autumn Trio Metal Die from the Embrace Change Collection. I did a whole lot of fussy cutting using the gorgeous elements from the Grateful Heart Gathers and Collection Bonus sheets.

"get on ya bike!" by Charmane Koch

 OK, so it's LOCKDOWN for most of Australia, HOWEVER... SA is lucky at the moment! I have to say I am feeling for each and everyone of you, and although we are safe for the moment, it's like walking on eggshells and feels like anything can happen at any moment!

SO.... WE NEED SOME BRIGHT HAPPY COLOURS! Let's GO FLURO!

I've played with the fabulous {get it?} NEW Fluro Coloured Mica Powders - Fluoro Pink, Green & Yellow...

And the Circulate Stencil from Michelle Grants Arty Farty Collection, and the Cool Words Stamp from Fiona Partridges Fearless, Brave & Free Collection...

First of all I used the Heavy White Gesso through the Circulate stencil onto the Inspirations paper from the Untangle Collection designed by Tanya Froud - just LOVE that it's quite possible to mix so many ranges together!

Once dried, I got out the 3 different Fluro Mica Powders and mixed with water, and coloured each "circle" with alternate colours...

I stamped the "cool" stamps after positioning my photo, that I matted using black cardstock and coloured tissue paper...

I then doodled around the edge of the circles to highlight them...

I decided that I need to also Matte the background paper with black cardstock as well. I cut about half cm around the background Inspirations paper, then distressed it and stuck it onto the black cardstock.

I then added the Charms Creations Fluoro Stars and title, along with the journalling on the page.

Just Like My Mum - With Karyn Schultz!

   Hi Bee Arty Lovelies!

It's Karyn here and today I have a scrapbook page to share with you made using lots of amazing products from Bee Arty.  

 

  

 I started with a sheet of Courage Paper from the Arty Farty Collection. I'm really enjoying exploring some of the older Bee Arty/Colour Blast collections, and I'm even finding I am ordering more :)

I used my Silhouette Cameo to create and cut a title on the Courage Paper which I backed with some 350gsm white cardstock.

 

 

 

 Next I selected some Colour Shimmer Dusts to coordinate with the paper. I make the selection by painting a range of colours on some white cardstock and then selecting a few that I like. I chose Velvet, Paris and Duke.

 

 

 I mixed Velvet, Paris and Duke Colour Shimmer Dusts each separately with heavy gloss gel to use with a stencil. 

 

 

Then I applied through the Circulate stencil across the page.

Here is my finished page.

 

 

 Here are some close ups. I've matted my photo on some Ideas Paper, book paper, and paper doilies. I've added some diecuts created using the Imagine metal die, some paper flowers, and words cut from the the Mantras paper from the the Untangle Collection.

Be Anything But Predictable II Chrissi Mannix

Hello Lovelies,

I have an art journal page to share with you today using lots of Bee Arty Stencils, and the fabulous Artist Inks. Artist Inks are some of my favourite mediums to play with.

I wanted to get messy and arty, and what better way than to make an art journal page using some of my fave inks. I wanted some texture in the background, so I started by applying crackle paste through the A4 Imprinted Stencil. 

Then it was time to play with my Artist Inks. I enjoy using them, not only in the massive range of colours they come in, but also when you mix them together, you get completely new colours. When mixing to make a new colour, I add drops of ink onto the page together. To get a mixed colour you always need to add wet to wet. Then I spritz with water and let them blend.

Once I had my colour I started to play with my stencils. I did try stamping to start with, but due to the crackle paste and texture in the background, it just didn't work very well, so I covered that up with some stenciling and black paint.

I used a mixture of stencils;

A5 Circulate Stencil

Girl Walking Stencil

A5 Different Stencil

I used mostly black paint for the stenciling, but I did go back over my title with white paint to make it stand out more. I added splatters in both white and black paint, one to use up any spare paint I had, and two, because I love splatters and I love the messy look lol.

It's Karyn here and today I have an art journal page to share with you made using lots of amazing products from Bee Arty.
 

 
I'm creating in a 8x10 DWM media journal on one of the cotton rag watercolour pages.

For my background I have started by applying Berry Colour Artist ink using a painting with plastic technique. Then I have added splatters of Berry, Marine and Citrus Colour Artist inks. 
 

I mix some Passion Colour Shimmer Dust with a white modelling/texture paste in a paint palatte. Using texture paste results in a chalky mat finish to the stencilled image. You could use a heavy gloss gel instead (or heavy mat gel) to give a more glossy translucent effect similar to that of Colour Paste.

  

Apply this paste through the Circulate stencil in places.
 

  

 Add stamping to the page using the Life Is Tough Stamp Set.
  

 

Here is my finished page.

 

I found the picture on Pinterest and printed it out on photo paper. I've matted some old book paper and white muslin under 2 corners of the photo and added some Tim Holtz small talk word stickers. Lastly I've added doodling around the edge of the page using a Fude ball pen.

Make Life Sparkle by Ros Aggett-Madley

Hi there,  today I'm sharing another mixed media page.

This one started with another background made by smooshing some Colour Blast Sprays and Colour Artist Inks between 2 pieces of card.

I've then used the That Way Stencil and a baby wipe to remove some of the colour.

With a make up sponge I then added some Heavy Black Gesso through some parts of the Circulate Stencil.

I have used the stencil as a template for stitching, poking holes in the card and then threading to make it easier.

A little doodling and some Jane Davenport washi paper and it was all done.
