 Good morning how are you? Hope you are finding some creative time, I did over the past weekend when I attended a local retreat, I did manage to create 9 layouts which I am super happy about. But on a positive note it did wake up the mojo which isnt a bad thing.

So with Rustic Blossom there are a number of large cogs and flowers in the corners of the pages so dont be afraid to cut them out, you can blend out there edges with chipboard and fussy cut flowers from the Exclusive Cut Apart sheets.

Dont be afraid to cut apart chipboard to give direction around your layout.

Mix art stones and glitter the more layers the better.....

"Explore" by Rachel Dutko

Hi Colour Blasters!!

Rachel with you, and today I am sharing my layout "Explore".

To prime my page I added White Heavy Gesso, then I could create the background with Lush Colour Shimmer Dust and plenty of water.

Once that layer was dry I added some Just Blue Colour Paste through a stencil. I then scraped the excess colour paste from my palette knife all around the edges of my white cardstock.

Then it was on to altering my embellishments.

I coloured some paper flowers with some water activated Cobalt Colour Shimmer Dust, 
and also sprayed some die-cut leaves with Coffee Colour Spray.

To colour my chipboard title piece I applied a layer of White Heavy Gesso, then painted Coffee Colour Spray with a brush directly from the bottle.

Then it was time to put my page together

I've added some flair from Kit The Habit, as well as some Corbett Creations 
wood veneer that I've kept raw to add to the 'outdoors' feel.

Marbeling Memories with Amy Prior

Hi there Colour Blast fans! Amy Prior back with you all again today, this time sharing a pretty shabby chic inspired layout using lots of gorgeous Colour Blast products alongside some BoBunny papers, Dusty Attic chipboard and Scrappers Garden flowers. 

Lots of gorgeous details on this layout include the funky marbled pattern background. See below for a quick step-by-step on how I created this effect.

 

The Dusty Attic Chipboard frame has been covered with some Embossing Paste before a generous sprinkle of Leather, Bling and Snow White Colour Embossing Powders. If you don't like the mottled effect, use just one colour and create an even coat of the powder before melting with your heat tool.

 Lots of beautiful papers and flowers finished this layout off perfectly with some additions of bling as well! Who doesn't love a bit of glitter here and there.

Steps for creating a faux marbled background.

Step 1: Blob various colours of Colour Paste over the top of a stencil, I've used Bling, Leather and Snow White. It is super important that the stencil stays still so stick it down with some Washi Tape to avoid any movement in the stencil.

Step 2: Quickly scrape the colours together but only once up and down then once side to side. If you over work this step you will simply mix the colours together and not get the funky marble pattern detail.

Step 3: Remove the stencil and heat dry that glorious pattern detail. Make sure you clean your stencil quickly also as the Colour Paste dries very quickly.
