Its the people who make it Wonderful-By Lisa Oxley

Howdy Colour Lovers, Lisa Here with a blog update .
Today I am sharing a layout created in two parts ,
So unfortunately I can't really share with you visually the process of Acrylic paints, stencils and house paint .
Typically I never create a layout for a photo, I just create backgrounds and see which one works for my photo. This is one of those backgrounds.
After the first acrylic background process,
I have used Deep Water Colour Paste and a Moroccan stencil pattern, to add texture to the layout.
After ample drying time, I have added extra detail with stamps and posca doodling.
For my Embellishment Details I have used Colour Blast colour shine in Bliss and Apple of my Eye on a piece of Muslin to place behind my matted photo..
I painted a few pieces of Moroccan WOW chipboard pieces with Dylusions paints, which helps support the Colour Blast Embossing Powders richness and I used a heat tool to fix the powder,
I used "Royalty", "Fire Engine" and "Deep Water" on these WOW chippy pieces.
Here's My finished piece, A celebration of Friendship and Connection.
A photo from a retreat last year, very close to home,
possibly one of my top 3 venues to enjoy a super relaxing creative weekend of arty fun.
Thanks for Dropping by the Colour Blast blog.
I will see you again by the end of the month with some new Colourful Colour Blast magic to share.

Selfie Crazy By Nirvana!

Hello!!!

Today I present to you a page of my Art Journal "Selfie Crazy".... Because I'm crazy!!! LOL!

I used these products on the page,  Colour Shimmer Sprays  in 'Deep Water' and 'Lovely Lilac' on background, and I used 'Lovely Lilac' and 'Snow White' Embossing Powders on chipboards (smartphone, and word "selfie"!)

I put 3 layers of 'Lovely Lilac' embossing powder on the word  "selfie" to get this nice thick smooth effect and one layer of 'Snow White' on the smartphone to just get the shimmer!!!

On this last photo, you see highly-rated spangled of Colour Shimmer Spray!!!

Spritzing Fun by Danielle Vertigan

The time comes around so fast and here I am again ready to share some more Colour Blast fun!
Its a long weekend in Victoria so there is plenty of time for some crafting fun to be had. Today I decided it was time to get into the spritzing.

I've spent a lot of time playing with the pastes and powders they are so addictive!!!
So I wanted to see what I could do with 3 card bases and some sprays.
I started with my card bases and I also like to work with a backing card especially when the project is going to get wet!!
Adhere your card fronts to the backing card
The first is a basic Spritz.
I chose 2 colours and sprayed them top and bottom.
The wetter it gets you can actually lift the card and move it around to spread the colour if you choose.
I dragged the edges through the leftover spritz in the misting station to stain the edges.
No wastage!
(I like to lay a sheet in the station so I don't get any bleed from previous projects)

My Second card I poured the spray into my pallet and used a paintbrush to apply it to my cards so that I could create clouds. I allowed this to settle and dry before re applying.
So long as you stay within your first application the colour wont bleed outside the original application. The colour and shimmer result is amazing.
A quick shake of the brush and any extra colour flicked onto my card.
My final card was the stalk! First I flicked the stalk across my card to create a speckled effect.
Then I drew my circles. You can start in different places each time and have a good amount of freedom with this technique. Lastly I dipped the stalk and waited till a drop formed before running it along my edges to create a watermark effect.
I finished them off with some embellishment and a little texture of coarse....

I couldn't go past the embossing powders for this .
I stamped directly onto the page and embossed. You will get a touch of residue but it will wipe away with a tissue beautifully.
A touch more embossing on wood and I love this piece...

Some Free hand Texture to create my ballons and the gel pen.
I used a white gel pen to create a touch of texture in my clouds with a crackled line effect.
I also ran the edges through the misting station to pick up the left over colour from Royalty.
We are ready to party while the balloons float in the sky.

Some basic texture smears where all this piece needed and I love the colour of the purple flower!!
I grabbed a white flower and spritzed this first, then using the watercolour technique I was able to deepen the colour dabbing the colour directly from the bottle using a paint brush.

I hope that gives you some new inspiration for your next project
Till next time...

Joy by Wilma Voermans

For my todays post I choose to make a scrapbook page.

The background is a gesso Colour Shimmer Spray mix.
For this I used the Lovely Lilac spray.

I stenciled under and over my paperlayers with charcoal paste.
You cant see the shimmer on this picture, we have bad weather here in Switzerland.
But it is there :)

All of my Blue Fern Studios chipboard was embossed with the Dusty Charcoal embossing powder.
On the title I used  a hint of the  Just Blue embossing powder.

I was not going to add flowers, I want this layout to be flat to save space in the album.
So I did some fussycutting.
I used one sheet of scrapbookpaper to get all of these flowers.

You can find all the Colour Blast products HERE

Untill next time later this month...

For the stencil I used Colour Paste in 'Fire Engine'.
And for the background (even if it didn't show up well because there is bad weather at home and the pictures are not very nice), I used Colour Shimmer Spray in 'Fire Engine' and 'Deep Water'.

Smile by Suzy Loudon

Hi there, Suzy here. Thanks for taking the time to come over to the Colour Blast Blog.
For my first page I felt like doing something colourful...so it was an easy decision to do a page for my daughter.

If you are interested in how I created my page then here’s a basic run down.

I first started with using my Colour Blast Pastes to create my background using a stencil.
The shades of paste that I used are 'Apple of My Eye', 'Singin The Blues', 'Lipstick', 'Lovely Lilac' and 'Deep Water'.

I used the Colour Shimmer Spray in Dusty Charcoal to spray the edges of my white cardstock (sorry I forgot to take a photo).
I also used it to spray my cheesecloth.

Most of my flowers I sprayed with Colour Blast Sprays using 'Lipstick', 'Singin The Blues', 'Deep Water' and 'Royalty'.

I used a couple of layers of Colour Blast Embossing in 'Singin The Blues' for my chipboard "Smile". I also used 'Lipstick' & 'Singin The Blues' on the honeycomb die-cut.

I put it all together layering with the die-cuts, cheesecloth & cardboard behind my photo. Added some finishing touches...charms, glitter, beads & string.

Hope you like it.
Thanks for looking. See you next time. Xxx Suzy
