Moments Like These - With Karyn Schultz!

It's Karyn here and today I have a scrapbook page to share with you made using lots of fabulous arty products from Bee Arty.

For my page I've been inspired by both the colours and the sketch of this mood-sketch challenge.

I started with a sheet of 350gsm Heavy White Cardstock and used a painting with plastic technique to add Apple of my Eye and Stormy Weather Mica powders.

Then I added splatters of Apple of my Eye, Stormy Weather and Peach Nectar Mica powders.

I added stamping using the Forever Always stamp, from the Forever My Always collection, and Black Archival ink.
 

 

I added texture to my page using the My Lady A4 stencil (from the Forever My Always collection) and some Peach Nectar Mica powder mixed with a white crackle texture paste (or heavy white gesso would work well also). 

 

Here is my completed page. My Horse Tommy is such a character - he makes me laugh!

 

 

To complete the page I've added photo mats and strips of paper along the top of the page using Embrace Change paper offcuts. 

I've added fussy cut images also from the Embrace Change paper collection.  

I've added a bird diecut from the Bird Talk metal die set, 

  a flower diecut from the Calendula metal die set (Bohemian Bliss collection),

leaves from the Autumn trio metal die set and the Old Leaves metal die set 

and a large flower from the My Flower metal die. 

The diecuts were created using 250gsm White Cardstock and Matte Brown foil Mirror cardstock.

 

Words were cut from the Embrace Change paper collection. 

 

 

 I added a metal flair, paperclip and chevron wood veneer from my stash.

 

Lastly I've added journalling using a fine black Life of Colour paint pen.

I was initially inspired by the colours of the moodboard so I took a sheet of 350gsm Heavy White Cardstock and used a painting with plastic technique to add Sunburnt Colour Artist ink.

Then I used the same technique to add Bordeaux Colour Artist ink.
 

 

 

I added splatters of Sunburnt and Bordeaux Colour Artist ink then I used my sewing machine to add stitching around the edge of the page. 

 

I used the Dusk A5 stencil (from the Vampyre Rose collection) and some Dusty Charcoal  Colour Paste.

 

I added stamping using the Vamp stamp, from the Vampyre Rose collection, and Black Archival ink. 

 

 

Here is my completed page. 

 

I've matted my photo on layers of paper offcuts from the the Vampyre Rose collection. The butterflies and title are fussy cut from the Vampyre Rose Collection paper. The black words are cut from the Untangle collection paper. I've added some bird diecuts from the Bird Talk metal die set.

  

Lastly I've added journalling using a fine black Life of Colour paint pen.

I was initially inspired by the butterfly in the sketch so I took a sheet of 350gsm Heavy White Cardstock and used the Fairy Wings A5 stencil (from the Whispering Woods collection) and some Deep Water  Colour Paste.

 

I used a painting with plastic technique to add Deep Water and Jungle Mica powders.

 

Then I added splatters of Deep Water, Jungle, Lemon Zing, Steel, Polar and Olive Grove Mica powders. The colours were inspired by the moodboard and the pattern was inspired by the sketch.

I added stamping using the Mapped stamp from the Road Trip collection, and the Memories (script) stamp and Black Archival ink. I created a title using the Uppercase stamp set from the Fireworks collection. I also added splatters of Midnight Shimmer Dust. Then I used my sewing machine to add stitching around the edge of the page.

 

 

Here is my completed page.

The words are cut from the Vacay paper, also from the Road Trip Collection. I've added a flower diecut from the Calendula metal die set (Bohemian Bliss collection).

The Best Memories - With Karyn Schultz!

It's Karyn here and today I have a scrapbook page to share with you made using the Road Trip collection from Bee Arty.

 

 

I'm playing along with the January mood-sketch challenge. We would love for you to join in with this challenge and be in the running to win a Bee Arty online voucher. You have until January 30th and you need to upload your challenge here (please follow challenge rules). 

 

I have been inspired by the colours of the moodboard and also the sketch (turned on the side).

 

I used a painting with plastic technique to add Oasis, Calypso and Mermaid Colour Artist ink to some 350gsm Heavy White Cardstock, then I added splatters of each colour.

 

I used the City Nights A6 stencil from the Road Trip collection and Deep Water Colour Paste to add dimension to the page.  

 

I added stamping using the Mapped stamp and the Making Tracks stamp set from the Road Trip collection, and Black Archival ink.  

 

 

 Here is my completed page.

 

 

 I've used a sheet of Road paper and cut matts for my photo using different designs on the front and back of this paper. My photo is 9cmx12cm printed with a white border. I've added 5 different patterned paper layers, some book paper, a kraft tag, and torn cardboard layers.   

 

 

 I've fussy cut elements from the Spy paper as well as leaves from the Road Trip Collection Cover paper. The words are cut from the Vacay paper, also from the Road Trip Collection.  

 

 

 Lastly I've added some orange enamel dots and outlined my page using a fine black Life of Colour paint pen.
