Fierce Mind Brave Spirit by Belinda Spencer

 Hello Arty Bees!!

It's Belinda here today to share my latest layout created for Bee Arty featuring the awesome Graffiti Grunge collection.

I cropped a sheet of the fabulous 350gsm White Cardstock and mounted on a sheet of heavy weight black cardstock from my stash. I then spritzed the focal area quite heavily with water and sprinkled some Midnight Colour Shimmer Dust over it. I used a soft paintbrush to move the colour around and to 'mix' the Shimmer Dust and water together. I used the same paintbrush to pick up the colour from the really wet parts and flick it over the page.

Next I cut out the tags I wanted to use from the Perfect Tag Sheet. There were still plenty of tags left over to make another layout or some cards. I inked the edges of the tags with some Cobalt Archival Ink.

Next I added some stencilling using the Gridlock A6 Stencil and White Heavy Gesso. I love how when the gesso dried it had picked up some of the individual colours that make up the Midnight Shimmer Dust. It gave it even more of a grungy look.

I added a little more stencilling. This time I mixed up a little of the Midnight Shimmer Dust with water in a palette and painted it through the stencil on the page. It gave a really messy watercolour effect pattern which just added to the grunginess.
Once the layout was dry, I layered on the tags and added some cogs and the light bulb using the Cog Globe Metal Die Set with the white cardstock.

I added my photo and a cool chevron from Charm's Creations. I finished by fussy cutting some appropriate words from the Be Yourself  Word Sheet, inking the edges with Jet Black Archival Ink and adding to the page. I used a black journaling pen to add some doodling to the die cuts as well as scribbly borders around the words to make them stand out more.

Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today. Make sure you keep an eye out as this layout will soon be available as a kit so you can create your own version of this layout.

Cheers

Happy by Belinda Spencer

 Hello Bee Arty fans!

It's Belinda with you today to share my latest layout for Bee Arty inspired by the spectacular September Mood Board Challenge.

Here's a reminder of the mood board for this month:

The colours are so perfect for the new fluro range!

To start my layout I chose a patterned paper from the funky new Electric Dreams Mini Collection as my base. I then spritzed water on the page in the focal area before sprinkling on some Duke Shimmer Dust. I used a soft paint brush to manipulate the colour on the layout and also flick some of the colour over the page.

Once the layout was dry, I added some stencilling using the Ecliptic A6 Stencil with the Fluro Pink Colour Paste. Next, I added a scoop of the Fluro Pink Colour Mica Powder to a paint palette and mixed with a little water. I used a soft paintbrush to pick up the colour and flick it over the page. The pink really contrasted with the blue to give a vibrant effect.

I added some stamping using a stamp from the Embrace Change Say It Stamp Set and Jet Black Ranger Archival Ink.

I die cut some shapes from the 350gsm white cardstock using the String Wreath and Abstract Circles Metal Dies and coloured them with the Fluro Pink Mica Powder mixed with water as well as the Duke Shimmer Dust mixed with water and Lagoon Colour Spray.

I fussy cut some elements from patterned paper from the Electric Dreams Mini Collection. I used the Fluro Pink and water mix to paint the plus signs.

I layered everything on my page and added a couple of Charm's Creations fluro embellishments as well as some coloured wire

Thanks for stopping by the blog today. I hope you are feeling inspired to play along with the Mood Board this month too.

Cheers

'Bloom' by Belinda Spencer

 Hello Bee Arty fans!

It's Belinda here with you today to share my latest layout created for Bee Arty and inspired by the July Mood Board.

Here's a reminder of the mood board.

Such pretty colours!

I started my layout by cropping a sheet of the 350gsm heavy white cardstock and mounting on a sheet of the Untangle Mindset patterned paper. I then mixed up all of the colours for my background. I used the Colour Blast White Heavy Gesso and added Colour Artist Dye Inks in Berry, Citrus, Lime, Oasis and Slipper. You might notice that my last swipe of colour on my page looks grey. It's actually purple but either my photography or lighting was bad. Trust me. It is purple in real life! I used a paintbrush to add all of the stripes of colour and then diluted the paint so I could flick it over the page.

Once my background was completely dry, I added some stencilling with Colour Paste in Snow White and the Gridlock - A6 Stencil.

Here you can see how this Colour Paste adds such a gorgeous shimmer.

Next, I added some stamping using the Bokeh Clear Stamp Set and the Going My Way Clear Stamp Set. I used Archival Ink and Distress Oxides for my stamping.

I chopped up the Untangle Silence patterned paper and layered the pieces together with the Frame Metal Die die cut. I fussy cut some flowers from the Embrace and the Collection Bonus patterned papers and added all to the page. Finally I added my embellishments and my title as well as quotes cut from the patterned papers.

Products used:
- Collection Bonus patterned paper

Gridlock - A6 Stencil

Thanks for stopping by the blog today. I hope you are feeling inspired to have a play with the mood board too.
