Welcome to February...
Today I am sharing my page for the challenge just launched at the Colour Blast Creative Corner.
Here is a sneak peek of my bright colourful project.
And this is the challenge: Go Rainbows!!!!
Here are the steps I took to create the page.
I was having a circle-doodling kind of moment one night.... I started drawing a variety of circles across a plain piece of white cardstock.
I added smaller sized circles and then added more doodled textures in the different circles.
Then I used my black Posca paint pen to trace around the pencil doodling.
And then I rubbed out all the pencil markings.
Next, I lined up my Colour Artist Inks - I had my rainbow ready: Citrus, Lime, Marine, Mermaid, Slipper and Cranberry.
Next I started painting the different circles, washing my brush clean in water with each colour.
Here is how my rainbow of circles ended up.
I painted a diecut word with Colour Artist Inks (in Soot). This created the perfect black title.
Next I added some splatters of Colour Artist Ink in Citrus.
For more splatters, I grabbed my Colour Shimmer Pot (in Punch), activated it with water and splattered.
I did the same again, this time with a Colour Shimmer Pot (in Deep Water). I also painted some of the circles for a little shine.
Here is my final page and some close ups.
I used a few small embellishment clusters to the page, but the main focus is rainbow circle background.
Hope you join us this month - can't wait to see our page bursting with rainbows!
Thanks for looking.
Amanda
