Wonderment by Tracey Campbell

Hello everyone. It is Spring here in Australia, the weather is getting warmer and that makes me happy. I love the warm weather, cold makes me shut down and want to hibernate. Anyone else like that? Anyhoo seeing as the weather is improving I decided that I wanted to use a few flowers on my creation today so I went though my leftovers from the Bohemian Bliss Collection and discovered a few flowers and feathers, so this was my starting point.

I fussy cut the flowers and feather from the Bohemian Bliss, Boho Tags paper
Using some Bling Colour Paste, the Boho Mandala stencil and a paint pallet knife I spread the paste onto the Free Vibe paper from the Bohemian Bliss collection on the yellow coloured side. At first I just spread the paste through the big mandala and little half but when the paste was dried I cam back to it and flipped the stencil, lined  the small mandala up with the first half and created a full small mandala.
Next I fussy cut both the large and small mandalas out.
Adhere the large mandala to the top left hand corner of the B side of Market Days patterned paper. I only adhered the center of the mandala at this stage as I had plans to put things under the hanging vines and beads of the mandala.

I wanted to add a touch of gold to the edge of my photo so using my finger I lightly applied some Bling Colour Paste around the edge. This gave it a bit of a fancy distressed look.

After the Colour Paste was dry I matted the photo with scraps in the shape of triangles from the Sweet Talker patterned paper.
I then cut a quarter of the small mandala off so that I would have two pieces, I tucked the larger piece under the top right hand corner of the matted photo and the smaller piece under the left hand bottom corner. Then placed a small gold doily over the top of the mandala centers. Then adhered the matted photo cluster to the Market Days patterned paper.
Using some 3 dimensional tape I stuck the flowers and feathers onto the page and adhered the vines and beads down securely with some clear drying paper glue.
To finish off the layout I cut out a few words and a title from the Sweet Talker pattrned paper and adhered them to the page (you can see the final layout for hte placement of the title and words), I then used a Life of Colour gold paint pen to draw a boarder around the page.

I must admit starting with one thought in mind (flowers) was a simple way to narrow down my product to allow me to concentrate enough to get a layout done. It simplified my process and got me straight into creating, some days I need to limit myself as I have all sorts of ideas in my head and too many wonderful products from Bee Arty that I can't narrow it down and actually do something. But today I didn't have that issues, the layout come together fast and I am happy with the final look.
Anyhoo, I hope that I have inspired you to just go for it!!!

Hugs
Tracey
