Who doesn't love tags! Today I am sharing two grungy tags made from a couple different collections but they go together do well

Firstly I had some thick cardboard laying around which I used paper from King of the cave collection. 

I tore up the paper and distressed the edges before gluing down

Next I fussy cut the bees and butterflies from Three Six Five paper collection

Coloured them in using copics to match the background paper

Finally I glued them down. To add a bit of more interest to each tag I had some material laying around, so frayed the edges and added these to the tags.

These would make a wonderful addition to any special present instead of a card!

Im back again for my second post for Bee Arty using King of the Cave collection

OK, I am first to admit I struggle making cards for males... so this was taking me way out of my comfort zone. As I wanted to make 2 cards I choose two focal points - one was the stamp from this collection called Luck. Other I fussy cut the playing hand with cards from sheet called Play the Game

I sorted out matching cardstock to back the cards and stamped on the image straight onto patterned paper

Mounted all the cardstock together

For the stamped card I choose matching copic colours to the paper.

I went easy with the black ball as I still wanted the text to show through

Didn't over think this playing card hand, just gave it a bot of skin colour

Being male cards I distressed around the edges.

Hello Bee Arty fans!

Happy Saturday! Today I share a page of my husband, and of course the best Bee Arty range to use is... King of the Cave! Combined with some embossed chipboard (like... have you seen these awesome and amazing embossing powder packs?) - and this page was simple but effective!

And here is my full page:

I layered a variety of papers from the King of the Cave collection, with some black cardstock. The papers used include: Game on and Deal.

For the title, I found old chipboard letters and heat embossed them with embossing powders from these packs. I used Pine (the green) and Jet Black. Give old chipboard letters new life with this technique!

The final finishing touch was some splatters. To create my splatters, I mixed a small amount of water with a small amount of Colour Mica Powder. I used Sienna and Dusty Charcoal.

Here are some more close ups and some extra tips!

Get some white muslin to wipe up left over colour from your messy mat. After I had done splatters in Dusty Charcoal and Sienna, there was left over colour on my mat. I mopped it up with some muslin. You can see that the muslin then becames an awesome accent on the page (and usually a perfect colour match too).

I love how the Mica powder splatters hold their shape and sit on top of the page. Makes for perfect splatters! 

I also used a white paint pen to doodle around the edge of my embossed black title to make it pop!

When layering papers of similar tones, distressing the paper edges and mounting the different papers on contrasting cardstock (I used black), can really add definition to your layers.

So I guess it is cheers from me and my hubby!

'Game on Grandma' by Elisa Ablett

Hi Crafters, 

Elisa here from the design team with my latest inspiration project for you for this month, featuring the new collection by Tanya Froud, King of the Cave!

Tanya and I went away together recently for some self imposed 'time out' and created up a storm with our Bee Arty goodies. This is one of the layouts I created using the new collection, a mixed media layout with loads of colour and texture. We created the chess pieces together by hand drawing the bases and adding the crown and negative offcuts from the 'King' metal die.

I just love this photo of my mum and my youngest son playing chess together, the concentration and the sore losers are real, but I love that I captured this moment of them spending quality time together.

Let's take a closer look -

I continued on the circular themed design by adding large handdrawn scribbled circles with Black Soot Colour Artist Ink, die cut Wheelz with metallique waxes and stamping with 'Checkers' stamp set.

The centre of the layout features the 'Game on' Stencil from the King of the Cave collection and it was stencilled using the Deep Water Paste and one of the new fine Embossing Powders in Lime.

I added a bit of colour to the background using Colour Artist Inks in Mermaid, Soot and Barley. 

To create the title, I stencilled ink through the Game On Stencil and embossed and then I used the 

365 Alpha die to create the word Grandma from white cardstock, I then used Mermaid Colour Artist Ink to add colour to the title.

RDKULUS - With Karyn Schultz!

  Hi Bee Arty Lovelies!

It's Karyn here and today I have a scrapbook page to share with you made using lots of amazing products from Bee Arty in particular the King Of The Cave Collection designed by the talented Tanya Froud. 

 

For those of you that are kit subscribers, this page coordinates with one of the pages I created for the kit and you could use it to create a double page layout.

 

     

 I created a background on heavy duty 350gsm white cardstock.  I started by doing some stencilling using the Gridlock Stencil and Soot Colour Artist Ink (using a sponge, and apply sparingly). Next I did more stencilling using the Dice Stencil and a mix of Sunflower and Midnight Colour Shimmer Dust mixed with Heavy Gloss Gel. By mixing Sunflower shimmer dust with a small amount of Midnight shimmer dust I get a colour that coordinates with the papers in the King Of The Cave Collection.

 

  

 Once this has dried I add splatters of Soot Colour Artist Ink, and a mixture of Sunflower and Midnight Colour Shimmer Dust mixed with water (I used my pan palettes created using the shimmer dusts).

 I created some leaf embellishments by stamping the leaves from the Luck stamp onto Deal paper from the King Of The Cave Collection. Then fussy cut.

 Underneath my photo I've added some corrugated card and acetate (from the kit). Ive also layered 2 "King" cards created using the King metal Die and Deal paper. I've added some wheel diecuts created using the Wheelz metal Die and White cardstock. The white Crown is created using the King metal Die and White cardstock.

 

 

 

 I've added words cut from the Cave Rules paper, and King cards cut from the Cover Bonus Sheet paper (which is only available in the collection pack). I've also added a word strip cut from the Cave Rules paper and added this across the bottom of the page.

 

 

 Ive added a cluster along the LHS of the page - this word/Title is cut from the Cover Bonus Sheet paper.
