Coffee Love by Charmane Koch

I don't know about you but I NEED my Coffee!

My layout I am sharing with you today is of a couple of coffees Ash & I had at a cute Coffee Shop in the Central Market in South Australia after an overnight stay at the Hilton!

I just loved the coffee table/bench that we were sitting at - with the old newspapers! Love the quirkiness of it... but must of all LOVE the coffee! {and probably needed it after a big night too haha}

I used mostly Grateful Heart goodies mixed in with a few other Bee Arty goodies which I will list here for you!

I started off with Kraft Cardstock as the base. I did cut out a square from it so that I could matte me photo. I did this with a Black Cardstock piece as well, which I trimmed slightly to use as a matte for the Grateful Heart Paper that I used for the background of my layout - love the woodgrain paper! You can get the full Grateful Heart paper pack for only $20! It's such a timeless pack!

But why not get the Stencils, Dies & Stamps that go with the papers? I have used these all many times for different projects! The BUSY BEES are only $70!

I trimmed about 1 cm off each side of the Faith paper and distressed the edges, I stuck this to the Black Cardstock followed by the Kraft.

I tore the Hope paper to give a rough edge, distressed and curled the paper over to expose the other side slightly. I fussy cut part of the leftover paper to tuck behind the ripped cardboard & my photo matte.

I cut out from Kraft & White Cardstock a number of floral/leafy dies - Sweet Floral, Aussie Leaves & the love from the Flower Talk set - this I used for part of my title...

I then added flowers & wood veneers & bits from my stash...

Of course a Charms Creations Book Page Heart was a perfect match...

I also cut out a Butterfly from one of the Butterfly Cut Aparts -  so many to choose from!

And a Flair from the Assorted Flairs from Bee Arty.

This layout was one of my favourites at the Charms Creations At Home Retreat I organised - it was a Scraplift of a Tina Steinborner layout! It just came together so easily - don't you just love it when that happens?

Here's the Dies I used:

Sweet Floral - CURRENTLY ONLY $10!
Aussie Leaves - a DEFINITE must have!
Flower Talk - perfect for titles! Another must have to your Die Collection!

Thanks for popping by! I hope I've inspired you with this GORGEOUS Paper Collection!

Beautiful just the way you are - Rikki G

Good morning, how are you? Well if you from Australia no doubt the Easter Bunny has been and gone and left you some chocolatey goodness and hopefully your spending sometime with your nearest and dearest.

Thats the plan today for my fam bam, just chilling and spending the day relaxing maybe a little bit of fussy cutting thrown in there for good measure......

Today I have a layout using the stunning Moon Shadows Collection, and as a added bonus I have a little process video so you can follow along.

You can follow along with a process video:

The Pretty Posy stamp is back in use again, stamped on 200gsm cardstock with archival ink.

This will allow you to flood your work and not have any ink bleed out.

Once your flowers are dry, you can sculpted them into 3d flowers, curl them in your fingers, fold the petals and add some foam tape in the center and add a small one on the top. To give the center some more definition use the bottom side of a paint brush and give it a push, it will allow the petals to curl inwards more.

Now repeat the flooding effect with the Aussie leaves Die.

*** Handy tip: pre cut a heap of leaves in white and pop them into a bag that way your more likely to use them in your layouts more regularly, rather than pulling out your die cut machine every time you create.

Add silk flowers in with your paper flower clusters.

By flicking glue you will get a more splattered effect with your glitter, as you tap the excess off it will catch in other areas.

Hope this has inspired you.

Till next time have a creative day.

Serenity by Charmane Koch

Happy Monday & almost the end of January! Already??? How does that even happen?

Today I wanted to share one of the layouts I have created over the weekend for an Australian Day Crop! What is more perfect than the Aussie Bushland Collection? I managed to create 3 layouts using this fabulous collection - and of course I have STACKS more to use! It's so full of possibilities!

The papers are just so gorgeous! And the Dies & stencil I used as well of course!

I started off by cutting out a few Aussie Flowers & Aussie Leaves & Autumn Trio Dies using White Cardstock & Kraft Cardstock... I always cut out extra and came in handy as I used them on the other layouts I created!

Next, using Thick Modelling Paste {or you could use the Heavy White Gesso} I used the Aussie Map Stencil laying it over the Cockatoo Paper.

While that dried, I decided I needed to colour some Muslin but wanted to make a colour that would match the background paper - so I combines Tan & Amber Shimmer Dusts the colour came out perfect!

I also coloured a White Paper flower that I wanted to use on the page...

To create my Photo Matte I layered Kraft Cardstock, then another layer of Aussie Bushland Collection. I also tore a piece of cardboard from one of our many Deliveries we get {LOL} to create a textured background behind the photo matte, allowing me to add a few bits around the edges of the photo to create interest - cutouts from the Aussie Bushland Collection and from my stash - mini doilies & Paper Leaves.

After working out the positioning of my Photo Matte & playing around with my Die Cut Leaves/Flowers I then stick them down...

I carefully stick them down with double sided tape behind the Photo Matte like so...

I also had the Wildflowers stamp in my stash that I had stamped onto Tissue Paper that I thought was perfect for the photo... {you may have seen this stamp in another recent layout of mine?}

I stick it down with Gel Medium - can you see I wasn't careful enough? I had to get a black pen a fix "Yourself" up! OOPS!

So once everything was stuck down and the Tissue Paper dried, I added all the extra embellishments to finish it off...

I layered the Muslin, more Dies & Cutouts...

a Charms Creations Little Floral Tab...

Fixed up the Y & as you can see I did machine stitch around the edge of the layout - I did trim 1/2cm off the edge of the Cockatoo Paper, distressed it and then used Kraft Cardstock to back it. I think doing this ties the whole layout together.

I absolutely loved putting this layout together, and it was so easy with all the different Aussie Bushland & extra Bee Arty Goodies! So much fun!
