Explore - With Karyn Schultz!

 Hi Bee Arty Lovelies!

It's Karyn here and today I have a scrapbook page to share with you made using lots of fun products available from Bee Arty

This page was inspired by the October mood board and sketch challenge. I loved the colours and sketch - but I'm a bit late with the challenge, again, oops.

I created a mixed media background on a sheet of 350gsm Heavy White Cardstock using Emerald, Polar and Steel Mica powder (using a painting with plastic technique). Then I added splatters of each of these colours as well as Sienna Mica powder.

I added stencilling using Emerald Colour Paste and the Orchid Stencil from Wild At Heart.
Then stamping using the Recipe Script Stamp from Raspberry Fizz and Black Archival ink

Here is my completed page.

The photos are matted on offcuts of coordinating papers from the Fun in the Sun paper collection. Fussy cut elements are from the Blooms paper and the cover reverse bonus in the Botanicals paper collection pack
Die cuts were created using Matt Brown Foil Mirror board and the Old Leaves metal die set and Autumn Trio metal die set. I've also used some 250gsm Heavy White Cardstock and the Forrest Favourites metal die set
Flowers, chipboard and hessian were from my stash.

Follow Your Bliss - With Karyn Schultz!

 Hi Bee Arty Lovelies!

It's Karyn here and today I have a scrapbook page to share with you made using the new Full Circle collection available from Bee Arty.

This page was inspired by the November mood board and sketch challenge. I loved the colours and sketch - but once again I'm a bit late with the challenge, lol.

I created a mixed media background on a sheet of 350gsm Heavy White Cardstock. I added stencilling using the A4 Round About Stencil from Full Circle and Stormy Weather Mica powder.

This stencil is a 2 layer stencil (Did you know that? How cool!). So I then overlayed the other end of the stencil and sponged through Thunder Mica powder.

I added more stencilling using Emerald Colour Paste and the Orchid Stencil from Wild At Heart.

There was a cut apart sheet as part of the kit that I watercoloured using Thunder Mica powder. I also added the same colour to left over chipboard from the kit.

Here is my completed page.

I've used 1 photo measuring 9.5cm x 12.5cm portrait including the white border. The circle embellishments are fussy-cut from the Full Circle Paper Collection Pack. The word strips are from the Moments Paper. Lastly I added splatters of Stormy Weather, Steel, Thunder Mica powder and Amber & Sunflower  Colour Shimmer Dust.

Full Circle is a bright and fun collection with grungy vibes, and is designed by the talented Michelle Grant. You will love this collection - the stamps, stencils and dies are not to be missed! You can subscribe to the kit here. Kits come with a paper pack, stencils, metal dies, stamp sets, embellishments and full colour kit instructions.

Memorydex Cards - with Karyn Schultz!

 Hi Bee Arty Lovelies!

It's Karyn here and today I have some Memorydex cards to share with you made using lots of fun new products from the new Raspberry Fizz Collection available from Bee Arty.

I'm playing along with the colours in the March mood board and sketch challenge. We would love for you to join in with this challenge and be in the running to win a Bee Arty online voucher. You have until March 31st and you need to upload your challenge here (please follow challenge rules).

Recently I've been inspired by all of the wonderful Memorydex cards I see on my Insta-feed, so of course I wanted to join in. I created my card base with 350gsm White Cardstock that I have cut down to 4" x 3 1/2". I use my corner rounder punch to round all of the corners. I used a Memorydex punch to add the 2 Memorydex holes along one side.

I love the Spring Flowers stamp set from the Raspberry Fizz Collection so I stamped 2 sizes of flowers on the card, using Black Archival ink, as well as on some post-it-notes (so I can do some masking). Fussy cut the 2 post-it-note images cutting on the outline (dont leave a gap around the edge).

Place the post it note images exactly over the images on the card an add more stamping.

Remove the post-it-notes and voila, the leaves appear to be behind the flowers!

I then painted the flowers with Sunshine Mica powder mixed with water, the flower centers with Tangerine Dream Mica powder. The leaves are painted with Lush Colour Shimmer Dust and the remainder of the card is painted with a dilute wash of Emerald Mica powder. All colours inspired by the Moodboard. Lastly I added some words from the "Always" Black on White cut apart sheet.

On the reverse of the card I kept a similar colour palatte. Firstly a dilute wash of Emerald Mica powder mixed with water. Next use the Whitewash stencil with Emerald Colour Paste. Add some stamping using Black Archival ink and the Recipe Script stamp from the Raspberry Fizz Collection

I coloured some white gauze with Sunshine Mica powder mixed with water. I used 250gsm White Cardstock and the Speckled Peony Metal die set to create 2 diecuts that I painted with Tangerine Dream Mica powder. I used Black Cardstock and the  Flower Stems die from the Bee The Sunshine Collection to create a diecut. Lastly I added some words from the "Always" Black on White cut apart sheet.

I was loving creating the cards so I made another one - this time using patterned paper and left over fussycuts from the Raspberry Fizz Paper Collection Pack.

And the reverse of this card.

Crazy Love - With Karyn Schultz!

 Hi Bee Arty Lovelies!

It's Karyn here and today I have a Scrapbook Page to share with you made using lots of fun arty products available from Bee Arty.

I was inspired by the January Mood Board and Sketch challenge.

I created a mixed media background on a sheet of 350gsm Heavy White Cardstock. I used a fine black Life of Colour paint pen to draw a series of large circles in the middle of the page. Then I painted circles of Fern, Tan and Navy Colour Shimmer Dust (colours inspired by Mood Board and circles inspired by the sketch). Then I added splatters of each of these colours. Once dry I added coordinating coloured sequins as well as wood veneer. The flowers were cut from the Rustic Blossom Paper collection pack and painted with Navy Colour Shimmer Dust. I painted some resin flowers with Navy Colour Shimmer Dust mixed with heavy white gesso. The photo is matted on Crackled paper.

I added some words from the Bee The Sunshine paper collection pack
Lastly I outlined the page using a fine black Life of Colour paint pen.

One Moment, Art Journalling - With Karyn Schultz!

Hi Bee Arty Lovelies!

It's Karyn here and today I have an art journal page to share with you made using lots of cool products from Bee Arty.

I'm playing along with the November moodboard challenge. We would love for you to join in with this challenge and be in the running to win a Bee Arty online voucher. You have until November 30th and you need to upload your challenge here (please follow challenge rules).

I was inspired by the colours of this moodboard, as well as the cane/hessian texture, and the wall art piece of the tree/leaf.

I'm using a cotton rag watercolour page in my DWM art journal. I start by painting Steel, Stormy Weather, Deep water and Sienna Mica Powders on my page using a painting with plastic technique. I also add splatters of each of the colours.

I then added stamping using the Bokeh stamp set (script) from the Grateful heart collection, and black Archival ink. I used the Scripted Stencil with Dusty Charcoal Colour Paste to add some stencilling across the page.

I also used the Bokeh stamp set (script) to stamp some tissue/collage paper to add to my page.

Here is my completed page. I found a picture on Pinterest and printed it on photo paper and added to the page.

I've embellished with flower and leaf die cuts in white cardstock and kraft cardstock using the Flowers of Paradise metal dies and  Leaves of Paradise metal dies from the Find Paradise collection. The title "One Moment" is cut from the Untangle collection. I've outlined my page using a fine black Life of Colour paint pen.
