Happy New Year! Welcome to 2018!
I hope the new year brings you brings you happiness and
great adventures!
I have here a layout I made using Colour Sprays and Colour Embossing Powders. The photo in the layout is a selfie that my Joshua took of
his feet when he was a mere 4 years old – how time flies!
To start this layout, I prepped my white cardstock with White Heavy Gesso.
Using a straw with colour sprays I blew the ink around the bottom
half of the paper.
It is important to heat-dry each colour to prevent the colours
from blending.
Once I was happy with the ink, using a permanent black ink,
I randomly stamped the background with a patterned stamp – see close up picture
here…
Once the background was complete, it was time to work on the
title.
I found some chipboard in my stash. I love heat-embossing,
as it provides a bold and bright look. I stamped a Versamark ink pad and the
gorgeous Just Blue Colour Embossing Powder. A craft heat gun on a low heat melts the
tiny particles to give the finished product a glossy look.
After the preparations, it was time to adhere my photo to
the page and embellish the layout.
I used various goodies, some from D-Lish Scraps and some
from my stash.
The great thing that I love about Colour Blast sprays is
their versatility. They can either be sprayed or painted, splattered or blown
around on your page – so much creative fun!
Thank you for stopping by…
Ciao, Amy
