"Hooray" Scrapbook layout + process video by Louise Turner

Hi Crafters

I'd like to share my page "Hooray, Easter Egg Hunt"

For this page I've used the following

Colour Spray Carribean
Colour Spray Lagoon
Colour Spray Indigo
Colour Embossing Powder Just Blue
Colour Embossing Powder Steel
Colour Paste Steel

***

I started with this background paper that has a foil pattern
and gathered some supplies.

I've used the Colour Sprays CarribeanLagoon & Indigo
spraying them directly onto the paper and using paper towel to mop up the excess.

I felt like the Indigo got a little lost, so I added some splatters and again dried with paper towel.

I put the bones of the layout together to see if I had added enough spray in the background.

Time to add Colour Paste Steel - just smooth through the stencil like butter!

While the paste is setting naturally, I'm going to work on my chipboard.
I've taken a scrap piece of paper and adhered my chipboard to it - so that it won't move.
Then I've masked some areas with washi tape.

In the unmasked areas I've added
Colour Embossing Powder Just Blue

Right now it looks like a huge mess. Once I've masked off the blue and then filled the gaps with Colour Embossing Powder Steel ...

You are left with a really cool effect on the chipboard.

Now I'm going to put the rest of the page together.
Starting with my title, some paper layers and a little bit of cheeseclothe.

To bring the page together I've added a Black Heavy Gesso border - roughly with my finger.

And because I had lots of gesso left, I added some water and then used a paintbrush to add some splatters to the background.

The finished page is one of my favourites.
I love the background against the foil and the two tone chipboard looks awesome.
The large title and mixed lettering, means I could leave the embellishing to a minimum.

You can see the whole process in the video below.

Thanks for visiting.
Happy Scrapping
