Thankful Grateful Blessed Layout by Julie Schinkel

Hi everyone! It's the second last day of 2020 which makes this my last Bee Arty blog post for 2020. What a year this has been! Let's hope 2021 will be a lot kinder to us all and that we can get back to our 'normal' lives as soon as possible.

Now on to today's project which is a layout created with the gorgeous new collection by Michelle Grant called "Grateful Heart".  Here is the completed layout plus a quick tutorial on how I created this layout.

To start, cut a one inch frame from the "Hope" 12x12 paper (B side). Trim a quarter of an inch from each side of the "Together" 12x12 paper (B side). Adhere to the frame on an angle to form the base. Lightly ink around the edge with black archival ink.

Cut out the large doily from the "Faith" 12x12 paper, place in the middle of the layout base and lightly trace around the doily. Fussy cut all of the remaining floral elements and set aside.

Random stamp to the top left and the bottom right of the photo frame area and around the page as shown in the image below. Stamps used were from the "Heartfelt" Clear Stamp Set and the script stamp from the "Bokeh" Clear Stamp Set and stamped with black archival ink.

The next steps require some fussy cutting. I've fussy cut all of the elements but for this layout you'll need just the pieces shown. Note: I did leave a few out of the final layout at the time this photo was taken. You can still add them to your layout if you wish.

These elements were cut from the "Faith", "Blessed" and "Gathers" 12x12 papers. The orange bird cage is from the "Family" 12x12 paper.

The large doily was cut from the "Faith" and the remaining pieces from the "Family" 12x12 papers.

Adhere the large doily to the centre of the base with the smaller black doily on top. Arrange the remaining pieces to form a photo mat and adhere to your photo. I have used a 3"x5" photo for this layout. Arrange and adhere all other elements as shown in the final layout, some of which have been popped up with foam tape. I added in the "Thankful, Grateful, Blessed" at the last minute, these were cut from the "Family" 12x12 paper.

Here are some close ups of my final layout to show you how I've embellished the page.

It's A Girl Thing - With Karyn Schultz!

  Hi Bee Arty Lovelies!

It's Karyn here and today I have a scrapbook page to share with you made using lots of amazing products from Bee Arty in particular the Untangle Collection designed by Tanya Froud.

Recently I've been enjoying creating with some of the older collections and for this page I was inspired by the amazing "Making Your Mark" stamp set. I loved this collection so much I went back and bought all the other stamps, stencils and metal dies :)

I'm playing along with the December creative challenge "All Things Girl or Boy". We would love for you to join in with this challenge and be in the running to win a Bee Arty store voucher. You have until December 31 and you need to upload your challenge here.

I have 2 daughters so I focussed on the "Girl Thing". I have a Silhouette Cameo that I dont often use so I thought I would get back to using it and create a simple title for my page. I thought about where I wanted the title to go and I wrote up the text in the software and cut it out on a sheet of heavy duty 350gsm white cardstock. I then backed the words with the Tangled paper from the Untangle Collection.

Next I stamped around the edge of the paper using a stamp from the  "Making Your Mark" stamp set

Then I painted around the edge using Lillipop and Sunflower Colour Shimmer dusts.

Here is my completed page. I used 4 different photos of my girls and I shopping and enjoying cocktails.

I fussy-cut some flowers from the Embrace paper to add to the page. I also added some sweet floral diecuts and words cut from the Mantras paper. These black words are quick and easy to add to any project! A few wood veneer embellishments were a final addition to the page.

Thanks so much for stopping by

Trendsetter Tags by Tracy Jackson

                                                               Morning Bee Arty Fans

Hope everyone had a fantastic Christmas, got spoilt with heaps of crafty goodness. Today I have my last DT project of 2020

In preparation for Christmas and New Year, knowing I have a few days off I decided to do a small order from the Bee Arty Store. I picked out paper from different collections which had cutouts included

So over the next few months Im going to create projects that showcase the range of beautiful paper collection Paige has in her shop

Starting with paper collection Trendsetter created by Michelle Grant which has stunning Purples and Blues

I didn't have any tags on hand, so made my own just using a Manilla folder

Picked out the paper I wanted to tear and glue down with a glue stick

I also wanted to add a bit more interest by adding a music strip, making sure I distressed all the edges first

Finally added the focal point. I repeated this quick, easy but effective process 2 more times which you can see in photos below

                                                                           Second Tag

Third Tag

Quick easy simple project to do over the Christmas break if you manage to get an hour to play.

See you all in the New Year
Happy crafting
