October Colour Blast Triangular Challenge by Tracey Campbell

Hello and welcome to the 1st of the month...which means a new Colour Blast Challenge!! This month we want to get you all thinking outside of the box....and think triangles instead.
Here is my take on the challenge - a layout of Paige on her Birthday, that was just screaming out fun and triangles.

Now here is the moodboard to use for your inspiration.
Grab out your Colour Blast products and create a background inspired by triangles, upload it by the end of the month for your chance to win $30 in Colour Blast products.
For my background I started with using a water brush and painting on some Envy and Punch Colour Shimmer Cubes  straight onto some white cardstock. As I wanted a diluted soft look I used a lot of water with the Colour Shimmer Cubes.
I realised using the water brush wasn't spreading the Colour Shimmer Cubes Watercubes around enough so while it was still wet I spread it out even further with my hand.
This is how subtle the Colour Shimmer Cubes look when you water them down and spread them out.
Next I made a brighter water paint with the Punch and Envy Colour Shimmer Cubes and splattered them onto the areas of the same colour on the back ground. One of the great thing about the Colour Shimmer Cubes is that you can adjust the saturation of the colours by simply adding more or less water.
Once the Colour Shimmer Cube colours were dry I spread the Heavy White Gesso through a triangle stencil.
As I was really wanting to create a triangular background for the challenge I used two more triangle stencils. This time with Bling and Envy Colour Paste.
Here you can see my final background and all the wonderful Colour Blast products on it.
To finish off the layout I did a bit of doodling with a black paint pen, added some hand cut pattern paper triangles, a few stickers, a title and two photos cut into the a triangle shape.
It has been a while since I was rave enough to cut a photo into another shape other then a rectangle or square and I must admit, I really like how it turned out. Now I can't wait to see what you all come up with and how you use the Colour Blast products in your own triangular inspired artwork.
Hugs
Tracey
