You Make me Happy by Fiona Hughes

Hello again, my fellow Colourblast lovers. I'm back again to share with you another page featuring the yummy Colour Shimmer Dusts, Colour pastes, Embossing powders and Colour Shimmer Sprays, aren't they awesome?!

This layout is of my daughter again, with our beautiful old boy, Bodie (who we lost in February), on Christmas Day last year. It was Bodie's last trip to the beach. It was his favourite place. It made my heart happy seeing him with such a big smile on his old grey face.

Ok, so first I chose 12 x 12 Watercolour paper to work on today.
I decided on  the Colour Shimmer Dusts in - Duke & Paris.
I wet down my page really well, in a diamond-type shape, then carefully sprinkled the 2 dusts over the wet area.
I then sprayed some more water to activate the colour.
Then I dried this with  my heat tool.
I love how the 2 colours mix together to create the deeper green.

Next I  decided to use a stencil, which I think looks like tiny bubbles, that mimic the  foam from the waves at the beach. I wanted a bit of contrast, so Bling - Colour Paste was what I picked. I smooshed it through the stencil with my pallet knife,  across the page.

Then allowed this to dry naturally for the most part. (I may or may not have used my heat tool a little).

I then started working on the embellishments. I grabbed some medical gauze, (being a nurse has its advantages), and sprayed it, liberally, with Colour Shimmer Spray - Deep Water.
Again, my impatience won out, and i dried this mostly with the heat tool, and set it aside.

I embossed the cloud with Colour Embossing Powder - Snow White, & the Title in Deep Water Colour Embossing Powder.

To finish, I assembled my page to highlight the joy in Georgia & Bodies's faces. This layout, does make me incredibly happy, and brings back wonderful memories of my fourth baby.

I hope you all like this bright and fun page.
Cheers, Fi x
