Swimming is an individual or team sport. It can take as
little as seconds to complete an event and perhaps even win a medal! But behind
such a medal is discipline, countless hours of training, and even for
individual sports – strong friendships to get them through!
Pictured here is our Joshua posing for a photo by a proud parent!
To get this layout started, I used a chunky hog-bristle brush
and painted some of the background vertically using the 'White Heavy Gesso'.
I dipped a long piece of string into 'Black Heavy Gesso' and
placed it over the white areas repeatedly.
I splattered some of the Sapphire Colour Spray to give it
more colour.
After the inks had dried, it was time to use some Colour Paste, but with a difference! ๐
Using a stencil with circles I applied some of the Steel Colour Paste. Importantly, while it was wet, I sprinkled some Just Blue Colour Embossing Powder over the Colour Paste then immediately heat-dried it, with a craft heat
gun. This provides a metallic / corroded look. I love watching the bubbles form
here!
Before I started to embellish my page, I sprayed some D-Lish
Scraps Creative Cuts shapes with the Sapphire Colour Spray and set it aside
to dry. Then it was time to embellish and put the layout together,… and, voila!
Here are some close-ups of this ‘Awesome’ page. ๐
Thank you for stopping by,
Amy
