Fun Times by Suzy Loudon

Welcome back to the Colour Blast Blog.
Today I'm sharing a page I had great fun creating & it's even better when your boy loves it.

To begin with I spread White Heavy Gesso through a stencil and allowed to dry.

Using a black stazon ink pad I added some random stamping.

Using my Colour Artist Inks in Soot and Spice I made up some tiny sprays. To do this I added some water into my bottles then gradually added the Artist Ink until I had the desired colour. The Artist Inks are very intense so add gradually.

I sprayed my layout alternating spraying the colours, drying with a heatgun as I went.

Next I squirted some matte mod podge onto my craft mat. Then added some Colour Artist Ink in Soot.
I mixed it really well, The using some syringe tubes (that I kept after our cat had a stay in hospital & we had to give him pain killers after he got home...I just couldn't throw them out) I sucked up the mix before squirting it over my page.
Once dry (I let it dry naturally) it is a lovely thick, glossy almost epoxy looking finish.

While waiting for the black to dry (it took a few hours) I got onto my embellishments.
To begin with I painted some chipboard with a few coats of Colour Artist Ink in Barley.

Then with the Soot Colour Artist Ink I tapped some of the edges then gave it a good spray with water to bleed the edges a bit.

I painted some check chipboard in Black Heavy Gesso before partially embossing sections with Tangareen Dream Colour Embossing Powder.

Mixing some White & Black Heavy Gesso I made a grey paint that I painted my chipboard.
I then made up a little mix of Steel Embossing Powder with some black micro beads which I then used to emboss my title.

I put all my elements adding some string, glass beads & more micro beads.
Here's a few close ups.

Hope you've enjoyed this as much as I did creating it.
See you next time

xxxx Suzy
