An Amazing Day by Michelle Henderson

Hi All!

I have a new page today for you that fits into the new challenge using cool colours - have you played along yet? It has now been extended until November 10th.

I started by using a cut file as a stencil all over a page, and then applied White Heavy Gesso through it on to another page.

I love the texture that this creates once its dry 💓

I took out 4 of my favourite Colour Shimmer Dust in Paris, Lush, Peacock and Passion, then sprayed the gessoed page very lightly with water then sprinkled a little of the powders here and there.

I touched it up here and there with a brush and the same colours that I had mixed on a messy mat. I had a little colour left over so waste not want not 😉

At this stage, I felt that it would be too much to use the full page as a background, so I cut up some leaf clusters and singles and used them as a design element.

I created shadowing under the leaves with the Water Colour Inspired collection.

The title was embossed with Colour Embossing Powder in Deep Water.

Finally I added my photos and a few bits and pieces from one of my favourite Cocoa Vanilla collections. I also used the tag 💜

I hope you like it as much as I do!

ACCEPT IMPERFECTION by Suzy Loudon

With Halloween nearly upon us I felt inspired to create something spooky. So here goes.

To begin with I tore up some print paper then using a clear gesso sealed the whole page.

Using the Imprinted A4 Stencil I spread Heavy White Gesso around the page.

I sprayed my page with water before dropping Spice & Cider Artist Inks. Tilting my page around I dried it with a heat gun, moving the ink around.

I did the same thing with Soot Artist Ink. As the water was sprayed it did slightly re-activate what was dried changing it all over again.

I watered down some Heavy Black Gesso & splattered it around before painting around the edges.

Using the Black Gesso I then painted some metal charms. I later rubbed some coloured rub on them to highlight.

Using Road Base Colour Spray I coloured some muslin & dried off gently with my heat gun.

Using Steel Embossing Powder I embossed some chipboard.

Then embossed my other chipboard with Dusty Charcoal Embossing Paper.

Using my Shimmer Pen I went over my black web die cuts.
Then it was time to put it all together & I'm done.

You Make Life Beautiful by Suzy Loudon

Hi everyone. Today I went back to the original Colour Blast products, using Colour Shimmer Spray & Colour Embossing Powder.

I wanted to get into my lace box whilst doing this layout. So when prepping my page I tore the edges of my top sheet then stuck it down & edged all the sides with lace.
Once ready, I used Heavy White Gesso through a stencil.

I then gave my page a spray with Envy Colour Shimmer Spray, adding a few splotches as well.

I double embossed my chipboard with Envy Colour Embossing Powder.

I sprayed some flowers with the Envy Colour Shimmer Spray.

Putting my elements together I added more lace, fussy cut flowers from the paper range and some micro beads.
Here's a few close ups.

Thanks for looking.

Picture Perfect by Michelle Henderson

Hi team!

I have a new page for you again today with the Inspired collection watercolours and Colour Artist Inks.

I started off with  a Paige Evans cut file in a starburst pattern that I wanted to hand stitch. I used the Inspired collection watercolours to do a wash of Sunshine over the sunbeams, then Mustard, Carrot and a touch of Scarlet on the sun itself. I also used Ultramarine on the bottom third of the page.

I decided it wasn't quite strong enough, so I highlighted the same areas with Citrus, Spice and Sunburnt Colour Artist Inks, plus Calypso on the sea.

I had a second cut file that I wanted to back, so I offset it, and then went back to my watercolours 😁

While everything was drying I stitched the background...time to add the photo and embellies and done!

I'm so happy with this one - I hope you like it too 💖

Thanks for joining me here!
