This week on the Colour Blast Blog I used a fan that I had gotten when I went to Hamilton Island a few years ago it was a very special trip

Make sure you check out the Colour Blast website and see all the awesome stencils and stamps from Michelle Grant and while you're there check out the Kit Club it could be a great Christmas gift to yourself for next year

I started off trying something else and didn't like it so I got the Heavy White Gesso to cover up everything and then went from there

So I decided to go with some Colour Shimmer Dusts - I went out of my comfort zone and chose blues

I used the Colour Shimmer Dust - Duke, Cobalt and Peacock sprinkled across the fan then spritzed it with the water and dried it

I used Sunflower Colour Shimmer Dust that I have pre-made in a bottle of water (I use this one a lot) and sprayed the flowers

I used the Midnight Colour Shimmer Dust on the clock which is made of paper clay and gave it a little swipe of Old Silver Wax from Finnabair to show up the details

I filled in the gap of the mask with the Watermelon Colour Mica Powder which I had added some  Heavy Body Gel from Finnabair (which I also used to adhere everything to the fan)

I love how vibrant the colours are

Journal Flip through with Selena Stevens

Today I wanted to share with you a flip though of the art journal that I have completed in the time that I have been with Colour Blast.  It has taken me about 3 months to fill it.

I have uploaded a journal flip though video on Youtube of this journal.  I even talk in it this time!  I explain some of the techniques that I have tried, show some new pages that I haven’t shown before and recap some of the videos and blogs that I have already done.

I show some pages where I experimented with the Colour Blast products and how they interact with other mediums.  Like the Colour Artist Inks above.

I recap what pages are available as a Colour Blast blog post and Youtube video such as when I first swatched the Colour Blast products.  

I talk about some of the pages and tags that I created while demoing at the World of Craft Expo in Brisbane where I first met Teniesha, the owner and founder of Colour Blast and fell in love with the Colour Paste colour Sienna.

I also discuss the pages that I created while attending my first scrapbooking retreat hosted by Colour Blast.  Not that I scrapbook but I did want to see what all the fuss is all about and I would highly recommend it.  Colour Blast run several scrapbook retreats during the year.  If you are interested contact Colour Blast for more information.
