Hi there ColourBlast fans!
This photo was captured on one of
my many morning walks.
I wanted to capture something simple to work with on my
page.
So here we go! I selected a sheet of patterned 7 Dots Studio paper
and adhered it to blue cardstock.
I deliberately misaligned it, for effect.
Using the Sunset Colour Spray and mosaic glass stencil I
sprayed the area, as pictured.
Looks pretty cool, huh! (even if I do say so myself!)
For the background, to add some dimension, I added both
small and large circles. Some were stamped with a permanent ink, and some were
hand drawn using a Posca black marker.
Using a diamond stencil and a spatula, I applied some of the
Stormy Weather Colour Paste to selected areas.
Very quickly, while it was still
wet, I sprinkled some embossing powder in Sunshine and Tangareen Dream then
immediately heat dried it with a heat gun. This results in a cool metallic
effect.
To complete the background and allow it to blend, I added a
few sprinkles using the Roadbase Colour Spray and Sunshine Colour Shimmer Cube.
Before I began to add my embellishments to the page, I
wanted to add some ‘Chicken Wire Chipboard’.
As pictured, I primed the chipboard with 'White Heavy Gesso'.
After heat-drying, I painted it roughly with a mixture of ‘Just Blue’ Colour Shimmer
Cube and water. Next it was time to place my matted photo down and embellish
the page. I created a cluster with flowers, wood veneer pieces, Punchinello
from D-Lish Scraps and chipboard.
Here are some more close ups.
Thank you for dropping by!
Ciao, Amy
