Today I have a short post sharing the last card I made using the cut out from Embrace Change Collection designed by Fiona Paltridge

I picked out some cut outs that I had left over from last two cards

For this card I really wanted to use the butterflies, so wanted them more as my focal point rather than the plants

I choose the background paper and played around with composition.

Once happy I inked edges, picked out a word and glued all down.

I am excited to start my next project. Paige sent me the Road Trip Collection, and straight away I knew I wanted to make a folio with it. Because it will be a rather big project and photo heavy I will split into two posts...

Happiness card by Tracy Jackson

As promised from last post I mentioned I would make 3 cards, using the cut out from Embrace Change Collection designed y Fiona Paltridge

I had already pre cut images when I made first card.

I always do this and then put any extras in a snap lock bag, and label it so I don't loose any pieces.

I then play around until I find a layout that I'm happy with. 

Using layers always seem to make me happy

I  inked all the edges so they didn't stand out and found a word that I wanted

 Happy, I then glued everything down using Art Glitter Adhesive,.

Still in lockdown over here. I thought I would have a heap of time to create, but in reality I have just about no time as I'm busy updating paperwork for work

Luckily I have one more card in the wings, to give me time to think about which collection I want to play with next

Embrace Change - Card 1 by Tracy Jackson

 Hello Bee Arty fans

Luckily my DT parcel arrived late last night filled with new collections that I haven't yet had a chance to play with... And I say luckily because we now have delta covid on our New Zealand shores and have gone into snap lockdown, and this parcel arrived in the nick of time considering I had nothing left! LOL

So over the next few posts I do I will be doing 3 cards using the cut out from Embrace Change Collection designed y Fiona Paltridge

I sat down and cut all the pieces out

I then picked out the background called Spice I was going to use for all 3 cards, - I then put two aside for a later date so I could finish the first card

I picked out the fern like greenery and butterfly, but felt like it needed bit more so hand tore the left over paper then inked the edges

Placed and glued them down using Art Glitter Adhesive

Glued down the butterfly, and picked out a word from Poetry which I wanted to use, inked all edges and mounted onto a white card

The longest part of the whole card is to fussy cut the images. But when you have sore eyes and are giving them a break from colouring or aren't confident in colouring, this is the perfect solution.

I going to work on the next couple cards during lockdown..

Spread your wings Tag and Card by Tracy Jackson

                                                                  Hello Bee Arty Friends

Today I am showing you what I have left over from Spread your wings collection and two projects using it all up

These papers are just about run out so jump on over and grab the last lot of paper or the bundle deal before they go out the door

Below is the leftovers I keep in a bag, I spread them out and form an idea... card and tag

Select any dies or stamps you may wish to use... I plan on using Unwind Stamp set,  Say it Stamp set and Honeycomb Die

Cut my basem stamped my flowers and fussy cut them out, and picked a darker scrap for the Honeycomb die

Arranged them then started gluing. I use normal Uhu glue for anything like the die, but everything else is glued down with Art Glitter Glue

Next onto the matching tag - following the ams process I formed an idea

And started layering

This is the end result - soft colours - lots of layers. Looks like it would take a while to make but in reality the longest part was getting out he cuttlebug!

Free Spirit by Tracy Jackson

Today I have created a card using no stamps. Just paper and a little ink

I have already made a card using this collection from Bee Arty called Follow your Dreams fussy cut sheet, it lends itself to so many possibilities as there are plenty of elements to use

I selected and fussy cut 4 butterflies. 

Then because I like to use up my stash and mix and match collections I picked out some background paper from Untangle collection

Layered up the card and picked which butterflies I wanted and placement of them

Inked up with copics and layer on top of each other

Glued everything down with my favorite all time glue... Art Glitter glue

Hope this card has encouraged you to use your stash as Im sure you all have paper laying around like me!

FREE SPIRIT! by Linda Pearson

Today's journal page was inspired by a recent workshop Paige presented.  I have mixed it up a bit using Colour artist inks however, I chose to use some elements from the upcoming Bohemian Bliss collection designed by Sue Smyth. This journal page can of course be adapted to include photo images for a scrapbook layout.

The Free Spirit journal page is a culmination of alcohol inks, stencils, stamps and dies some of which belong to the upcoming Bohemian Bliss collection designed by Sue Smyth.  The title is also a nod to the 'spirit' relating to the use of Isocol rubbing alcohol (available from Chemist shops).

Bee Arty products used in the project:

• Bohemian Bliss collection designed by Sue Smyth release (Dies, Stencil)date mid-February - Bee Arty Kit Club
• White Cardstock 350gsm 10 pack - 12"x12"
• Gesso – Bee Arty heavy primer 250ml (white)
• NON-stick craft mat
• Life of colour pens - black/white 2 pack
• Colour artist inks  - marine, sunflower, citrus, grass
• Leafy A5 stencil from the spread your wings collections by Michelle Grant designs
• Bokeh clear stamp set - Grateful Heart collection by Michelle Grant designs
• Life of colour pens - black
• Colour paste - Singin in the rain, Tangerine Dream
• Puffer tool
• Darice 6 well paint palette

• Art Glitter Designer Adhesive

Basic kit requirements:

• Yupo paper 
• palette knife 
• archival black ink
• light green, deep green, white and black acrylic paint 
• exacto craft knife
• Isocol rubbing alcohol
• die cut machine
• silicone sponges (make up)
• foil card (rose gold, blue, white)

A selection of Bee Arty products used in this project, refer to the weblinks above.

             

Pour some Isocol rubbing alcohol into the wells of the small palette (Darice 6 well paint palette)

, add a few drops of each of the Colour artist inks (citrus, marine, grass, slipper) in each of the wells.  

Sprinkle some Isocol over the Yupo paper then using the dropper from each of the colours, drop the Colour artist inks over the Yupo paper.  

       

      Use the puffer tool to spread the alcohol inks around the page.  Add more ink and Isocol as required.

Leave the Yupo page aside to dry organically (no heat tool).

                

Apply a good amount of Gesso on to the cardstock, add a couple of drops of Colour artist inks in Grass to the Gesso then randomly spread the gesso and ink over the page.  The finished layer will be very light in colour. dry off completely.

 

 

Use the silicone sponge to add some deep green and white paint onto the sponge then apply the paint (don't over mix the paint to get a variegated effect) through the Leafy A5 stencil on to the White Cardstock 350gsm.  Add some of the light green through the stencil to create textured effect.  Dry off.

Apply the stencil over the entire White Cardstock 350gsm using white paint through the Leafy A5 stencil.  Dry off ... see image below.

Apply the Bokeh clear stamp set with archival black ink around the page.

Apply clumps of Colour paste (Singin in the rain), with a palette knife, through the stencil (Bohemian Bliss collection) across the page.  Dry off.

Repeat the process using the Tangerine Dream Colour paste across the page close to the blue flowers.

Once the Yupo paper and inks are completely dry, cut the paper into several strips of different sizes.

Cut small strips of Rose Gold of foil card, paste the foil card to the back of the inked paper.  Glue all the strips to the back paper, Art Glitter Designer Adhesive.  Add the script stamp across the page with archival ink.

Using the flower die cut from the Bohemian Bliss collection to cut out lots of flower shapes in the 3 colours (blue, rose gold, white).  Glue bunches of flowers across the page.

Cut the Free Spirit words from the Bohemian Bliss collection word sheet.  Back the words onto an off cut of inked page and rose gold foil.  

Add spatters across the page in black acrylic paint.

Using the Life of colour pens in black to outline around the inked strips and flowers.  Distress the White Cardstock 350gsm edges with archival black ink with blending tool.
