Aussie Bushland Cards

Hiya Bee Arty friends!

I'm Kelly, and I’m stoked to bee joining the Bee Arty design team to show that all your Bee Arty goodies can be used for card making as well! I’m looking forward to sharing my designs and getting to know you all.

I’ve started out with a set of three cards created using stamps and dies from the Aussie Bushland collection, along with the Radiant stencil from Happy Snaps, and the All Occasions stamp set.

To start with, I created 3 top folding card bases from the 350gsm 12 x 12 white cardstock, which are 14.8cm x 10.5cm when folded.

For the first card, I’ve die cut the Aussie Flowers Die Set leaves from the 250gsm white cardstock 4 times, and the flower once. I glued the leaves directly onto my card base, cutting off the excess and then adding pieces into the gaps where needed. I used a piece of vellum from my stash to help the flower stand out a little bit more. I’ve finished with a stamped sentiment from the All Occasions set and fussy cut it out before gluing it underneath the flower.

For card two, I’ve die cut the leaves and flowers once each from the 350gsm cardstock and then used my Colour Shimmer Dusts in Fern and Candy to paint them. I did it very loosely so there are variations in the colours to give depth and dimension. I set those aside to dry while I stamped a piece of 250gsm cardstock in a grey green ink with some of the images from the Wildlife stamp. I foam mounted the panel to my card base, then glued down the leaves and flowers, stamped and attached my sentiment.

For card three, I took a piece of the 250gsm cardstock and painted through the bigger leafy pattern on the Radiant stencil using the Fern Colour Shimmer Dust, adding extra patches here and there, plus splattering it lightly at end and set it aside to dry. I then stamped the little kangaroo image and sentiment onto another piece of cardstock in memento ink so that I could use my alcohol ink markers to colour in the leaves and ‘roo. I glued my stenciled panel onto my card base, then foam mounted my image/sentiment panel.

I’m so excited to be joining the team and I can’t wait to share more cards with you soon! – Kelly.
