Spray – Caribbean over a page
of a Dylusions kraft journal.
Add
drops of Colour
artist inks - oasis, marine
into a quantity of texture paste then spread the paste through the Rustic script
A4 stencil loosely over three areas of the page. Allow to dry.
Add
white splatters over the page also.
Cover the Dusty Attic chipboards assorted – industrial #3 with a light coat of white Gesso.
Carefully
remove the chipboard shapes from the backing.
Mix several drops of Colour artist inks - oasis, marine into a quantity of Tim Holtz grit paste (or texture paste) over the shapes thickly (use a pokey tool to remove excess paste from the holes in the chipboard shapes).
Once
dry, rub some Colourblast Colour
paste – leathergrain over the dried chipboards shapes.
Next
apply some Colour
artist inks - marine over the
chipboard to add depth to the piece.
Glue
all the smaller elements (cogs etc) to the main shape, layering some of the pieces
to create higher levels. I also added a
couple of Tim Holtz brads to the layered cogs for interest (optional).
Tear
a small offcut of cardstock (Forever my always
offcut cardstock) to suit the size of the chipboard.
Rub
some Colourblast Colour
paste – leathergrain around the torn edges.
Lightly rub some Colourblast Colour paste – leathergrain over the texture paste background of the journal page.
Adorn
the torn cardstock with script text stamp and black archival ink.
Use
pieces of leftover chipboard backing and adhere to the back of the chipboard
piece to add a layer and lift the chipboard off the page.
Add title to page with Life of Colour chrome mirror pens, add
border to writing with Fude Ball black pen.
Add sentiment with foam tape or add a photo to create a
scrapbook layout.
Thanks for stopping by and hope you have been inspired to
