Braving Deep Water by Lisa Oxley

Howdy Colourblast Lovers, Lisa here with my 1st official blog update. (couldn't help myself last month, I just had to share)

Here is my amazing eldest, partaking in something she loves so much. She is a professional wrestler on the weekends, passionate and dedicated to her sport. So I want to celebrate that with a page  I've created, to tell her that I am proud of the brave woman she is.

To start this layout I worked out where my stencil and photo placement would be, then secured the Words or Whatever chipboard pieces with glue to the page and then applied Teal acrylic.

Using the awesome Colour Blast textured paste in Deepwater and  Royalty, I stenciled a circular Mr Huey's mask onto the page as a focal point, and created the piece around that.

Have you used the textured paste yet?
The consistency is beautiful, goes on smoothly and the lush shimmery colours are gorgeous.

After drying the texture I added a little stamping, doodling and dripped a little house paint over the page. Drying time again.

Time for layering and details, as usual I've kept it simple using a few basic scrappy embellies, the negative piece of chipboard I've taken the words from, black matting of the focal photo, muslin and cotton and a little more personal journaling under the chipboard to
enhance the message within this layout.

You can find all the Colour Blast products here

See you soon

Lisa!
