So I've been playing with the Colour Blast texture paste. Incredible colour and butter smooth texture and to top it off simply amazing shimmer. I am smitten.
For this piece I've kept it to my usual style and focused on the play of mixed media products, to produce a background that works with my photo.
Acrylic paint, house paint drips, random scribbles (go on, you know you want too), random journaling and this gorgeous Colour Blast 'Apple of My Eye' colour paste that I've used with a 6x6 leaves stencil.

I've added a little layering with a little painted paper off cuts, cheesecloth or muslin, the odd sticker, a black matt behind my photo (always) and some fabulous swirly WOW chipboard and lettering.
The highlight is playing with new mixed media goodies, and this Colour Blast texture is great fun to create with.
