"Creative Urban Art" by Melissa Struhs

Is grey not the in colour right now? What I know for sure the Steel Shimmer Spray and Paste are by far a stand out for me, it is just perfect for that neutral palette when your photo's are full of colour like mine are in this instance. I am a massive fan of keeping layouts simple and layered together quite "straighty 180" (direct quote while in work mode). My cardstock and paper were lightly inked, adhered to the background and given a light misting before the photo's were added. But I do love to put a small twist in everything I create. For this particular one, I have experimented with my shimmer sprayed title and embedding it into the steel paste.

I have started by heavily spraying some resist style chipboard letters that will eventually become part of my title.

I love how the colour just pooled in spots,

a good blast of heat really helped created a mismatched effect on each individual piece.

I have used a palette knife and a brick style stencil to create some texture and random spots over layers of cardstock and my photo's.

And while it was still wet, I pressed the chipboard letters in to the Steel Colour Blast Paste.

I also took the time to do the same with a opaque clock face, creating a very simple cluster near my journaling panel.

From here, I had to just stand back and let the paste dry on it's own.
(Nobody wants to see you burn a hole in your photo's... been there, done that!)
A few hours later, it still needed some more dimension so I then used a Staz on black ink to stamp a script image over the sprayed title and sections of the Steel brick wall.

I hope you are all loving the projects the Design Team girls are bring you each and every day, until next time! Don't forget to drop by the Colour Blast website and see the entire range.
