Hello again bloggers!
Can anyone actually believe that we are only days away from Easter and hasn't time flown quickly. If you are anything like me, a quick card before last minute celebrations can be a blessing and with so many colours in our range to choose from....even easier!
This is the only Easter themed stamp in my entire collection.....out of the hundreds that I own there really should be more variety to choose from, but in a pinch, this one is quite simple in style but still gorgeous.
I began by stamping this image onto watercolour cardstock
several times with a black Staz on Ink.
WHAT ARE THESE???? These are the brand new Colour Shimmer Cubes in Singin' the Blues and Lovely Lilac. WHO's JEALOUS???
These little cubes are jam packed with shimmer goodness that activates with water...just spray and swish your brush until you get the consistency you want.
I have used the Lovely Lilac to paint over the stamped border and
splattered Singin' the Blues across another image and painted in little details on the bunny image. You can use a heat gun to hurry them along but only take a few minutes to dry on their own.
An intricate vine oval shaped chipboard piece was covered with Apple of my Eye Colour Embossing Powder.
A white card base had White Heavy Gesso applied over a script stencil to add some texture in the background.
Some distressed muslin was layered through the centre of the card and attached with a fabric glue dot that will hidden by the next few elements.
Next come the hand painted stamped embellishments....first the largest piece with the Lovely Lilac border.
Then the Aple of my Eye embossed chipboard, layered partially over the image and beyond the top of the fold of the card base.
Another stamped image, this time the splattered Singin' the Blues piece (it has had the border trimmed away) and is raised with foam tape on either side of the chipboard.
And the third image of the bunny is raised on pop dots as well. So many gorgeous layers and still a fresh colour scheme for the holiday ahead.
If you ask nicely, maybe these can be delivered by the Easter Bunny on Sunday! Lol. Just order them yourself.....21 glorious colours, better than chocolate any day!
Wishing you all a fabulous weekend with your family and friends,
Mel.
xoxo
