Remember when I shared my first Altered Paint brush and I said I was addicted? Well, today I am sharing another. Today it's A Nightmare before Christmas - Jack Skellington Altered Paint Brush.
The process is very much the same as the first one. I started with a gesso base coat applied a layer of texture (this one was crackle paste) then colour. I used the Colour Sprays in Coffee, Violet and Road base to build up the colour. Then I stamped over the top with a typed script stamp for even more detail.
Once it was dry, I gave it a final coat of Colour Shimmer Spray in Bling for a bit more shine. I then embellished it. On the chipboard "love" I used layers of Royalty and Bling Colour Embossing Powder to give a really beautiful shiny ombre effect.
I really love making these and I have so many more ideas I can't wait to make and share them.
Just incase you are wondering - Who is Jack Skellington? This is a bit of a run down. - "Jack Skellington is a fictional character and the protagonist of the 1993 film The Nightmare Before Christmas. Jack is the Pumpkin King of Halloween Town and lives in a fantasy world based solely on the Halloween holiday. Jack is the patron spirit of Halloween, the ghost skeleton of a spider, portrayed as being on par with Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny within his own holiday. As a living skeleton, he is immortal and can remove parts of his body without harm, as is often demonstrated for comic relief. He is the most important of many Halloween spirits, with the implication that their job is to scare people in the real world on Halloween night. The only one who understands Jack's feelings is a lonely and attractive ragdoll named Sally." ~wikipedia
