Handsome Mixed Media Layout by Farrel Tailor

Hello Colour Blast Fans, I am back again to share with you a layout I created for a class back in September. I love this photo because it is a very rare moment when my 2 boys will sit long enough together for me to take a picture. lol

So sit back and relax and let me take you through the process in creating this layout. I also have a process video which you can watch and the end of this post.

I started off by sealing my white cardstock with gloss gel medium. Once dried I sprayed Colour Shimmer Sprays Envy, Apple of my Eye and Singin the Blues randomly onto the layout.

I then cut the strips of patterned paper and stuck them together and placed them onto the cardstock.
I used a fan paint brush to dust the Colour Shimmer Dust Sunflower onto the layout and sprayed with water. I mopped up the access with a baby wipe and used that baby wipe to stamp in various spots.

Next I stenciled using Singin the Blues Colour Paste and once dried I then applied some more Colour Shimmer Sprays Apple of my Eye and Singin the Blues.

I then assembled the patterned paper layers and mounted my photo. I used this as a guide as to where I wanted my stamping to go. I used black archival ink to stamp the background and added the acetate film strip.

Now all there was left to do was to stick everything down and some last minute stamping to finish off the layout.

Be sure to check out the process video below.

Happy Scrappin' xx
