Delight by Farrel Tailor

Hey Hey Colour Blast Lovelies!!! I'm back today to share with you all a layout I created last month for More Than Words Challenge where the criteria was a family recipe and the word Delight.

I had so much fun creating this layout as it's a very rare moment when I get to use pinks in a layout, having 3 boys my colours are usually blues and greens. And this was my first ever entry to any online challenge.

Let me step you through the process in creating this layout. I have also got a process video which is located at the end of the blog. Hope you all enjoy...

I started by covering my white cardstock with gloss gel medium, once dried I cut some different sized pieces from my patterned papers and arranged them onto the paper until I was happy and lightly covered with white gesso.

I then used Colour Shimmer Spray Fire Engine and went around the edges of the patterned paper. I also used a little bit of water to help the spray run on the page.

I also used Fire Engine, Singin the Blues and Envy Colour Shimmer Spray to spray the white background. I used these colours on the white because I wanted a soft tone to match my photo.

Next I went around the edges with a distress crayon - Tumbled Glass and smudged it with my finger. I then did some stamping with a script stamp randomly on the layout.

I covered the chipboard border strip and title with white gesso and then used Colour Embossing Powder Singin' the Blues. I found using the white gesso as a base, it made the colour a little softer which was perfect. I also lightly brushed the title with Old Rose chalk ink.

I then put all my layers together - straws, flowers, thread, metal embellishments and my journal card.
Once I was done, I splattered the layout using Bubblegum Colour Spray and a small amount of water.

And there you have it ladies, a very simple layout but pretty
layout :-)
Hope you enjoyed and I have linked the products I used to the Colour Blast shop.

Happy Scrappin xx
